About HEAD Engineering HEAD Engineering is a Swedish process engineering company founded in 1982. We design and deliver advanced process plants for customers in Sweden and internationally, combining process engineering, mechanical design, automation and project management. Over the years, we have worked across a wide range of industries and developed our own process technologies. Within the PINOLA product family, we provide process solutions for tall oil production and soap separation for the pulp and paper industry. Through VisPro, we also work with process plants for explosives and energetic materials, including TNT and RDX/HMX production. Many of our projects are complete process plant deliveries, from process design and engineering through procurement, installation, commissioning and start-up. Our projects are international, with customers and suppliers across Europe, South America, the USA and other markets. We are based in Nacka Strand, Stockholm. About the role We are looking for a Process Engineer who wants to develop within industrial projects and take on a broad role covering process engineering, procurement and technical documentation. You will work closely with our project managers, process engineers, designers and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle. An important part of the role will be to prepare technical specifications, obtain and evaluate quotations, follow up purchased equipment and ensure that suppliers provide the required drawings, certificates, manuals and other technical documentation. The role is well suited to an engineer at the beginning of their career who wants to gain a broad understanding of how complete process plants are designed, purchased, manufactured and commissioned. As you develop within the company, the role can grow towards greater responsibility within process engineering, procurement or project management. Responsibilities Your responsibilities may include:

• Process design and development of production processes
• Preparation and review of PFDs and P&IDs
• Preparation of equipment and component specifications
• Preparation of technical enquiries and request-for-quotation documentation
• Procurement of process equipment and components
• Technical and commercial communication with Swedish and international suppliers
• Follow-up of purchase orders, manufacturing and delivery schedules
• Coordination and review of vendor documentation
• Support during Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
• Installation supervision at site
• Commissioning and start-up
• Training of customer personnel

Qualifications We believe you have:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• An interest in process equipment and how complete industrial plants are designed and built
• A structured way of working and an interest in technical documentation
• The ability to communicate professionally with customers and suppliers
• Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken
• Good general computer skills and an ability to work with technical documentation, specifications and spreadsheets
• The possibility to travel internationally for shorter or longer periods when required

Knowledge of CAD tools is an advantage. HEAD Engineering mainly works with Autodesk-based engineering tools. Previous experience from process industry, procurement, supplier coordination, technical documentation, commissioning or industrial projects is advantageous, but not a requirement. We are also interested in recent graduates with the right technical background, curiosity and willingness to learn.
