STINE GOYA is looking for an experienced and highly creative Print Design Manager to develop the original prints at the heart of our collections. Combining a strong artistic vision with technical expertise and excellent organizational skills, you will take print designs from initial research and artwork through to final production approval.
Working closely with Stine Goya as Creative Director and the design, development and production teams, you will translate the STINE GOYA aesthetic into distinctive prints/artworks for ready-to-wear, accessories and special projects. Alongside your hands-on design work, you will coordinate the print development process, bringing structure to daily workflows and keeping priorities, responsibilities and timelines clear across the team.
Main responsibilities
- Research and develop original print/jacquard/embroidery concepts, mood boards and color-stories in close collaboration with the Creative Director and design team.
- Create original artwork through hand drawing, painting and digital techniques, balancing creative exploration with the needs of each collection.
- Develop prints/artworks into production-ready artworks, including repeats, colorways, scale variations and placement instructions.
- Adapt prints/artworks across ready-to-wear and accessories and develop artwork for capsule collections and special projects.
- Review strike-offs and lab dips, communicate corrections clearly and follow developments through to approval, ensuring consistency in color, quality and design intent.
- Support the preparation of accurate technical print specifications, CADs and mock-ups for supplier communication and collection presentations.
- Plan and coordinate print development in line with the collection calendar, setting milestones and following up on artwork, sampling and approval deadlines.
- Maintain an overview of ongoing developments, identify potential delays early and align priorities and next steps with the team.
The ideal candidate
- A degree in textile design, print design, fashion design or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Substantial experience in fashion print design, ideally within premium womenswear, with a portfolio demonstrating original artwork and prints developed into finished products.
- A strong understanding of the STINE GOYA aesthetic and a confident eye for color, composition, scale and print placement.
- Excellent hand drawing and painting skills, combined with strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Solid technical knowledge of print repeats, colour matching, artwork preparation and textile printing processes and understanding of how prints work across different fabrics and garment shapes.
- Proven ability to organize creative work, coordinate development processes and manage several deadlines within a team.
- A structured and detail-oriented approach, with the confidence to follow up, communicate priorities and keep projects moving.
- A proactive, flexible approach and the ability to maintain creative quality in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English.
