What you'll do

Introduction We are looking for a creative intern who is passionate about climate action, sustainability, consumption and environmental solutions. Do you want to gain hands-on experience in international climate and sustainability communications? Join the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) Communications and Impact division as an intern. The division works with researchers and policy fellows across SEI’s eight global centres to make SEI’s work more widely known, influential and implemented. We collaborate closely with external partners and stakeholders to translate research into usable knowledge and increase the impact of SEI’s research and engagement. About The Internship This internship offers the opportunity to work with the Secretariat for the Leadership Group for Industry Transition (LeadIT), which is hosted by SEI. LeadIT brings together governments, businesses and research organizations to accelerate the transition of high-emitting industries, such as steel, cement and heavy transport, towards alignment with the Paris Agreement and net-zero emissions. It was the first high-level initiative to take on this work and was set up by the governments of Sweden and India at the request of the UN Secretary-General in 2019. LeadIT works at the intersection of policy, technology and business cooperation. You will gain real experience with a global climate initiative and exposure to senior policymakers, industry leaders and researchers working on industry decarbonization topics. This internship offers an opportunity to work as part of an international team to create engaging content, strengthen digital communications and help amplify LeadIT’s work and impact around the world. Tasks include producing impactful stories in a variety of formats; crafting engaging feature articles and social media posts; producing and editing videos; and creating eye-catching infographics, explainers and templates. You will also provide creative input on visuals and social media strategy. This internship can also be part of your thesis work. Who You Are We are looking for a person who is studying political science, economics, international development, journalism, communications or similar, with a focus on climate change, environment and/or sustainable development. Your writing, visual and persuasion skills are strong, and you can explain complex or technical subjects in accessible formats for different audiences. You are willing to work in a collaborative international environment and have a natural ability to coordinate and drive tasks forward. Skills And Experience
