What you'll do

Company Description Carzelle is a cross-border automotive partner that supports both car buyers and sellers with access to a wide range of vehicles sourced from trusted markets across Europe. The company focuses on fast, efficient, and scalable transactions, helping manufacturers, dealers, intermediaries, and other professionals manage high-volume demands. With strong market expertise and robust digital infrastructure, Carzelle offers competitive pricing, streamlined logistics, and intuitive partner and supplier portals. Teams work closely with customers to tailor solutions, simplify bulk buying and selling, and reduce operational costs through automation and optimized workflows. Role Description The People & Office Manager is responsible for ensuring that the team and office operate efficiently, that management’s priorities are translated into clear assignments, and that work is delivered on time and to Carzelle A/S’s high quality standards. This is a highly autonomous role requiring an exceptionally self-driven person who can turn limited initial input and onboarding into effective daily management and measurable results. The person must proactively establish structure, gather missing information, make sound decisions, and drive work to completion without relying on detailed instructions, reminders, or close supervision. Key Responsibilities

  • Turn management input into action. Take brief direction from management and independently develop the tasks, priorities, responsibilities, and follow-up needed to achieve the intended result. Confirm essential requirements and resolve conflicting priorities.
  • Take ownership from the outset. Quickly understand the team, workflows, and office needs. Proactively obtain the information required to become effective with limited onboarding.
  • Allocate and coordinate work. Assign each task to a named team member based on their skills and capacity. Ensure everyone understands their responsibilities, expected quality, and deadlines.
  • Follow up consistently. Maintain an up-to-date overview of tasks and check progress regularly. Identify delays, obstacles, and quality concerns early, and act without waiting for management to intervene.
  • Redistribute work when needed. Adjust assignments when workloads become uneven, priorities change, employees are absent, or tasks require additional support.
  • Uphold high quality standards. Set clear expectations for accuracy, completeness, attention to detail, and professionalism. Review deliverables as appropriate and ensure inadequate work is corrected before it is considered complete.
  • Ensure deadlines are met. Plan sufficient time for review and corrections. Address delivery risks promptly and escalate issues with proposed solutions and clear decisions needed.
  • Collect missing information. Independently seek out the information, decisions, and resources needed to complete work correctly. Ask focused questions and keep work moving wherever possible.
  • Maintain productivity and accountability. Ensure employees have meaningful work and use working time effectively. Address avoidable idle time and other activities that interfere with work, while respecting agreed breaks and company policies.
  • Manage and support team performance. Give clear direction, constructive feedback, and practical support. Address repeated failures to meet quality, productivity, or deadline expectations promptly and fairly.
  • Run the office effectively. Coordinate daily office routines, administration, supplies, equipment, and practical needs. Anticipate and resolve issues so employees can work effectively.
  • Keep operations lean. Simplify workflows, remove unnecessary steps, reduce duplication and rework, and control avoidable costs without compromising quality.
  • Keep management informed. Provide concise, proactive updates on results, delivery risks, workloads, office operations, and decisions needed.

Authority & Expectations The People & Office Manager is expected to independently manage daily task allocation, follow-up, workload adjustments, quality checks, and office coordination within the priorities, policies, and budgets agreed with management. Management provides direction and desired outcomes. The People & Office Manager takes ownership of determining and executing the practical steps required to achieve them. The role carries authority to set daily work expectations, require corrections, and redistribute assignments. Conflicting priorities, significant delivery risks, spending outside agreed limits, and personnel matters beyond the role’s authority must be escalated promptly, with a clear recommendation wherever possible. The manager is accountable for coordinating delivery and maintaining team standards. Each employee remains responsible for the quality and timely completion of their assigned work. Skills & Experience

  • An exceptionally self-driven approach, with a strong sense of ownership and urgency.
  • Proven ability to deliver results with limited onboarding, brief instructions, and minimal supervision.
  • Experience managing people and coordinating office operations.
  • Ability to create structure and clear action plans from broad objectives or incomplete information.
  • High personal standards and the confidence to uphold them consistently across a team.
  • Strong planning, prioritisation, and follow-up skills.
  • Attention to detail and sound judgment when assessing work quality.
  • Clear, direct, and respectful communication.
  • Confidence in making decisions within delegated authority and recognising when escalation is necessary.
  • A practical approach to improving processes, reducing waste, and combining employee support with firm accountability.

Success Description

  • Management’s brief direction becomes clear assignments and completed results.
  • The manager becomes effective quickly and drives daily operations with minimal supervision.
  • Every active task has a clear owner, expected outcome, quality standard, and deadline.
  • Employees understand their priorities and have balanced, productive workloads.
  • Progress is checked consistently, and obstacles are resolved proactively.
  • Deliverables meet deadlines and Carzelle A/S’s high quality expectations.
  • The office runs smoothly, with efficient routines and minimal avoidable waste or rework.
  • Management receives timely updates and can rely on the manager to take ownership without repeated instructions or reminders.

Other
