By acting as a technical extension of partner organizations, the role influences architectural roadmaps, and ensures that partners remain competitive in an evolving market. • Develop strategic technical roadmaps to help partners build and scale offerings based on Cisco’s portfolios.
• Influence partner technical strategies by providing consultative guidance on architectural choices, and emerging technology trends.
• Enable partner sales and technical teams through ongoing education on Cisco’s latest products, licensing models, and architectural benefits.
• Drive technical excellence by leading demonstrations, presentations and sophisticated bid responses that position Cisco as the preferred solution.
• Foster deep relationships with internal Cisco business units and external team members to ensure understanding or partner requirements and market trends.

Responsibilities Of The Role Are The Partner Solutions Engineer is a high-profile role in building strategic business and technical relationships and involves the following elements: Strategic Planning & Execution

• Multi-Year Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive multi-year strategic plans that align Cisco’s technology roadmap with the partner’s long-term business goals.
• Architectural Leadership: Drive architectural expansion across the partner’s entire ecosystem, moving beyond individual deals to secure long-term technology preference for Cisco.

Consultative Selling & Innovation

• High-Value Offerings: Shape strategic cross-architecture frameworks that integrate the partner’s intellectual property with Cisco technology to build unique, high-value market offerings.
• Partner Enablement: Empower partners to independently qualify and close complex deals, creating a force-multiplier effect for Cisco’s market reach.

Account Strategy & C-Suite Engagement

• Technical Voice: Function as the primary technical liaison to senior partner executives. Shape the partner’s technical strategy and ensure long-term alignment with Cisco’s corporate vision.
• Relationship Management: Navigate complex partner environments, building trust with technical and business decision-makers to maintain a "Cisco-first" mentality.

Leadership & Corporate Interlock

• Unified Front: Foster cross-functional collaboration, syncing with internal Portfolio SEs to ensure a unified "One Cisco" technical front during joint partner engagements.
• Feedback Loop: Act as a critical field intelligence conduit. Identify technical gaps and advocate for partner-specific product requirements directly to Product Management and Business Entities to shape future development.

Minimum Qualifications

• You will ideally bring 7+ years pre-sales engineering or technical customer facing experience supporting. Experience dealing with Partners is highly recommended.
• Expertise in cross-architecture design and complex, multi-year strategic account planning.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior-level executives (C-suite/Technical leadership).
• Deep understanding of the Cisco portfolio and the ability to integrate Cisco technology with external partner intellectual property.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• English fluency is mandatory. Fluency in additional European language(s) is a plus
