What you'll do

Please note that the position is 100% remote and we are open for candidates from around the world. About Severalnines We are a close-knit, globally distributed team. Our headquarters are in Kalmar, Sweden, and we work remotely from many countries. Our founders have worked in the database industry since 2001. We build ClusterControl, which automates the operation of self-managed open-source databases, and CCX, a white-label Database-as-a-Service platform. The role You take the partner program from its early stage to a repeatable way of working that can grow, with clear partner types, a standard path from first meeting to first deal, and measures that show what works. You will find new partners and help them sell. You own the path from first conversation to first revenue. You bring in hosting providers, cloud providers, resellers and integrators. Then you help each one win its first deals (and don’t stop there). You report to the VP of Sales and work with a small sales team, product and support. What you will work with At Severalnines, we help organisations take control of their database infrastructure without compromising on automation, reliability or performance. Our two products address a growing market opportunity: businesses want the flexibility and cost advantages of open-source databases, without the operational complexity or dependency on hyperscale cloud providers. For our partners, this translates into two distinct opportunities to create value, differentiate their offerings and grow recurring revenue.

  • ClusterControl – Enterprise Database Automation ClusterControl enables organisations to deploy, manage and scale business-critical open-source databases across on-premises, private cloud and public cloud environments. By automating complex operations such as high availability, failover, backups, monitoring and upgrades, it reduces operational overhead while improving reliability and resilience. Supporting technologies including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, Redis, Valkey and ClickHouse, ClusterControl gives customers greater control over their database infrastructure. For partners, it opens opportunities around database modernisation, infrastructure optimisation, managed services and enterprise adoption of open-source technologies.
  • CCX – Powering the Next Generation of Database-as-a-Service CCX enables cloud providers, hosting companies and managed service providers to launch their own fully managed Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) offerings, running on their infrastructure and under their own brand. Built on ClusterControl's proven automation technology, CCX eliminates much of the time, cost and complexity of developing a DBaaS platform from scratch. With support for PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Valkey and SQL Server, it gives providers a faster path to market, new recurring revenue streams and the ability to compete with hyperscaler database services while owning the customer relationship.

Where we fit in the market The database market is evolving. Organisations are increasingly reassessing the cost, control and regulatory implications of running critical data workloads on hyperscale cloud platforms. At the same time, demand for managed database services continues to grow, driven by the need for simplicity, automation and operational efficiency. This creates a compelling opportunity for Severalnines and our partner ecosystem. We enable organisations to combine the convenience of cloud-managed databases with the freedom to choose where their data resides, who operates it and how it is governed. This is particularly relevant in markets where data sovereignty, regulatory compliance, cost predictability and infrastructure independence are strategic priorities. For our partners, the value proposition goes beyond reselling software. It's an opportunity to build differentiated services, capture new revenue streams, strengthen long-term customer relationships and compete in a market increasingly looking for alternatives to hyperscaler dependency. This is the opportunity our Partner Manager will help bring to market. What you will do

  • Build a target list of partners: hosting and cloud providers for CCX, resellers and integrators for ClusterControl.
  • Contact, qualify and sign new partners.
  • Onboard each partner: commercial terms, product and sales training, technical enablement and a 90-day plan.
  • Plan and run partner events and joint go-to-market activities, so that partners reach and activate their market for ClusterControl and CCX."
  • Join early calls and support proposals and RFP responses until the partner can sell alone.
  • Find out why partners stall, and fix it or stop early.
  • Keep partner pipeline and activity current in HubSpot.
  • Bring partner feedback to sales and product.

What you bring

  • Demonstrated experience taking a partner program from concept or early stage to a repeatable, scalable motion.
  • Experience recruiting and activating channel or technology partners, ideally in infrastructure, cloud, hosting or database software.
  • A record of partner-sourced revenue.
  • Ability to talk with technical buyers about how open-source databases run in production.
  • Comfort with subscription pricing, revenue share and multi-year agreements.
  • Experience with HubSpot or a similar CRM.
  • Excellent written and spoken English. Other European languages help.
  • Experience working remotely with a team in many time zones.

How we measure success The main measure is new annual recurring revenue (ARR) from partners you recruited and activated. We also track partners signed, partners activated, and time to first deal. What we offer

  • B2B contract with full-time employee benefits
  • 70% base salary and 30% variable pay, with quarterly commission arrangements
  • Annual bonus based on company results
  • Reimbursement budget to setup and maintain your virtual office (PC, Notebook, Headset, etc.)
  • 4 weeks paid vacation annually
  • Additional birthday day off
  • Paid public holidays in your country
  • Monthly budget for sports activities
  • Fully remote environment
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • Offsite team meetings at least once a year (we’ve already visited places including Tokyo, Madrid, Belgrade, and Krakow)
