Our client is a European research and development organisation working on next-generation vehicle architectures, digital technologies, and intelligent systems. This is a longterm, full-time, on-site assignment as an OTA Release Lead. JOB DESCRIPTION Our client is looking for an OTA Release Lead to own over-the-air software deployment from release preparation through Pilot, Grey Scale and Full Rollout, all the way to post-release monitoring. You will make sure every release is compliant with UN R156 and SUMS, and you will be the person who coordinates the teams in Europe and China around each go-live decision. Responsibilities: - Own the OTA release plan, scope, milestones, deployment strategy and rollout gates - Align OTA plans and release decisions with teams in China - Coordinate OTA activities across Development, Integration, Validation, Cybersecurity and Operations - Consolidate and report EU readiness, Pilot results, Grey Scale verification status, risks and deployment recommendations - Ensure software maturity, test completion, deployment approvals, rollback readiness and recovery preparedness before release - Plan and execute Pilot and Grey Scale deployments according to applicable requirements - Define go/no-go criteria and release acceptance for each deployment phase - Lead OTA release checkpoints, approval forums and go-live decision reviews - Monitor deployment KPIs, update success rates, customer impact and incident trends - Identify, manage and escalate critical quality, cybersecurity, compliance and deployment risks - Drive resolution of release blockers and cross-functional dependencies - Report post-release performance, incidents, lessons learned and recovery actions - Ensure compliance with SUMS, CSMS, UN R156 and internal OTA governance REQUIREMENTS - Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or a related field - Around 10 years of experience in the automotive business, working in or close to product development projects - Deep knowledge of OTA processes, SUMS compliance and cybersecurity standards (UN R156, CSMS) - Strong ability to manage complex dependencies across multiple teams and regions - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills - Available for on-site work on the west coast of Sweden, longterm, full-time (100%) PREFERRED - Native Mandarin is an advantage - Experience with Jira and Office 365 - Open to about 2 to 3 trips to China per year YOUR PROFILE A structured and analytical release leader who is comfortable owning the go/no-go call. You plan carefully, assess risk with a clear head, and keep many teams across Europe and China moving toward the same release date.
