What you'll do

We’re Hiring: OTA Release Lead – Automotive We are looking for a highly experienced OTA Release Lead to take ownership of end-to-end OTA software deployment for advanced automotive products. Key Responsibilities

  • Own the complete OTA release plan, including scope, milestones, deployment strategy and rollout gates.
  • Manage releases through Pilot, Grey Scale, Full Rollout and post-release monitoring.
  • Coordinate activities across Development, Integration, Validation, Cybersecurity and Operations teams.
  • Collaborate closely with international teams, including teams in China.
  • Ensure software maturity, test completion, deployment approvals, rollback readiness and recovery preparedness.
  • Define go/no-go criteria and release acceptance for each deployment phase.
  • Lead release checkpoints, approval forums and go-live decision reviews.
  • Coordinate verification activities and evaluate deployment results.
  • Monitor deployment KPIs, update success rates, customer impact and incident trends.
  • Identify and escalate critical quality, cybersecurity, compliance and deployment risks.
  • Drive resolution of release blockers and cross-functional dependencies.
  • Ensure compliance with SUMS, CSMS, UNECE R156 and internal OTA governance.
  • Report post-release performance, incidents, lessons learned and recovery actions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in the automotive industry.
  • Strong experience working in or closely with automotive product development projects.
  • Deep knowledge of OTA processes and OTA software deployment.
  • Strong knowledge of SUMS / UNECE R156 compliance and automotive cybersecurity standards.
  • Proven ability to manage complex dependencies across multiple teams and geographical regions.
  • Strong risk assessment, planning and coordination capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with Office 365 and Jira.
  • Native Mandarin is an advantage.
  • Willingness to undertake occasional international travel.
