What you'll do

We are seeking a Sustainment Expert with strong analytical and interpersonal skills to join the OPFOR team — JWC's focal point for developing realistic adversarial effects that challenge and prepare NATO forces for modern warfare. Hva vi ser etter Professional Experience •At least 3 years of experience in sustainment planning in a joint environment. •Demonstrated good knowledge of the adversaries' (in particular Russian) sustainment capabilities. Language English -- Upper Intermediate Desirable Qualifications Professional Experience •Knowledge of and functional experience in exercise planning or exercise production. •Previous work in a red team or opposing forces team •University degree in logistics planning, economics, or acquisition fields, or relateddiscipline. •Russian- SLP 2222 - (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing) Intermediate •Valid security clearance Arbeidsoppgaver •Providing subject-matter advice in all aspects of sustainment in joint operations during the creation of setting or scenario products for JWC-directed exercises, wargames, or other collective trainings; •Providing subject-matter advice in all aspects of sustainment in adversaries' joint operations to the respective Chief OPFOR for an exercise, wargame, or other collective training event; •Drafting detailed schemes of sustainment in joint operations based on doctrine of adversaries (in particular Russia) and on Deterrence and Defence of the Euro-AtlanticArea (DDA) assumptions; •Leading a team of sustainment experts during JWC-directed exercise events according to the guidance of the respective Chief OPFOR; •Providing internal training to the OPFOR Branch and JWC in general; •Attending internal and external workshops or other individual training events related to sustainment in order to keep the knowledge up to date; •Establishing a liaison network with other relevant subject-matter experts (in particular in NATO Command Structure). Vi tilbyr The successful applicant will be offered a three-year definite duration employment contract. Serving staff will be offered a contract in accordance with the NATO Civilian Personnel Regulations. Om arbeidsgiveren: The JWC is NATO's training focal point for joint operational- and strategic-level warfare, responsible for delivering NATO's largest multi-domain exercises at these levels.
