What you'll do

Location: Offshore (Europe and other project locations as required) Rotation Pattern: Offshore rotation schedule with international travel A Snapshot of Your Day As an Offshore Heavy Lift Site Manager, you'll lead the safe and successful delivery of offshore heavy lift and major component exchange (MCE) campaigns across our offshore wind fleet. Acting as the senior operational leader onboard the installation vessel, you'll coordinate technicians, contractors, vessel crews, customer representatives, and project stakeholders to ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This is a pivotal leadership role where you'll drive campaign performance, manage operational risk, support technician teams, maintain strong customer relationships, and champion our Zero Harm culture while delivering complex offshore operations. How You'll Make an Impact

  • Lead offshore Heavy Lift and Major Component Exchange (MCE) campaigns from mobilisation through to project close-out.
  • Act as the primary offshore operational contact and first escalation point for vessel crews, project teams, technicians, contractors, and customers.
  • Coordinate daily work activities, offshore resources, tooling, materials, documentation, and campaign readiness.
  • Ensure work is safely executed in accordance with company procedures, customer requirements, and industry regulations.
  • Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings, risk assessments, permit-to-work activities, and safe systems of work.
  • Manage operational risks, quality issues, schedule challenges, and offshore escalations.
  • Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned, operational reviews, and best-practice sharing.
  • Support technician welfare, development, performance, and offshore team effectiveness.
  • Ensure accurate reporting, documentation, and compliance throughout campaign execution.

What You Bring

  • Proven operational leadership experience within offshore wind, marine, heavy lift, oil & gas, construction, maintenance, installation, service operations, or another safety-critical environment.
  • Experience leading technicians, contractors, or operational teams during offshore or site-based execution.
  • Strong safety leadership with knowledge of control of work, RAMS, toolbox talks, permit-to-work systems, and high-risk operations.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with customers, vessel crews, and project stakeholders.
  • The ability to make clear operational decisions, manage competing priorities, and perform effectively in changing offshore conditions.
  • Strong reporting, documentation, and compliance discipline.

We're Also Looking For You should bring proven offshore, vessel, site, marine, oil & gas, heavy lift, service, maintenance, construction, or other safety-critical operational leadership experience. You'll demonstrate strong safety leadership, customer focus, team management capability, and the ability to successfully deliver campaigns under pressure. Heavy Lift or Major Component Exchange experience is highly desirable; however, we also welcome applications from strong offshore leaders with transferable operational, safety, customer, and people leadership experience. Mechanical or electrical qualifications are advantageous but not essential. Candidates without a formal electrical background will be considered where they can demonstrate proven offshore leadership, operational delivery, safety management, and stakeholder engagement skills. Qualifications & Training Ideally, you'll also have:

  • Valid offshore certifications, including GWO training, offshore medical, working at height, first aid, fire awareness, sea survival and/or HUET certification.
  • A relevant technical qualification, such as a mechanical, electrical, marine, engineering, or industrial apprenticeship, NVQ, diploma, or equivalent operational experience.
  • Experience with RAMS, permit-to-work systems, toolbox talks, lift plan awareness, and lifting operations.
  • Leadership, supervisory, site management, vessel coordination, incident response, or project coordination training.

Desirable

  • Heavy Lift or Major Component Exchange (MCE) experience.
  • Jack-up vessel, offshore installation, or vessel/site management experience.
  • Mechanical, marine, hydraulic, electrical, or engineering background.
  • Knowledge of LOLER, PUWER, or related lifting regulations.
  • Offshore Wind experience.
