OFCI Manager

The OFCI Manager is responsible for the coordination, oversight, and assurance of all Owner‑Furnished, Contractor‑Installed (OFCI) equipment and vendor interfaces associated with the delivery of mission‑critical data centre projects. The role ensures that critical plant and equipment procured directly by the client are designed, manufactured, delivered, installed, and commissioned safely, on time, to specification, and in full alignment with the overall project programme. The OFCI Manager acts as the key interface between the client team, vendors, designers, the Principal Contractor, and specialist subcontractors, managing risk, quality, schedule, and documentation across the OFCI lifecycle. Key Responsibilities OFCI Strategy & Coordination

• Support the delivery of a portfolio of data centre projects with significant OFCI scope.
• Coordinate and manage multiple OFCI vendor interfaces, ensuring clear definition of scope, responsibilities, and handover points.
• Work closely with the Lead Project Manager to align OFCI equipment schedules with the overarching project programme.
• Ensure OFCI activities are fully integrated with construction, commissioning, and handover phases.

Design & Pre‑Procurement Phase Responsibilities Vendor Engagement & Risk Management

• Engage early with OFCI vendors to identify project risks and ensure these are assessed, mitigated, and actively managed through design, manufacturing, delivery, and installation.
• Participate in early technical alignment discussions to de‑risk interfaces between OFCI equipment and base‑build systems.
• Review technical submissions, data sheets, drawings, and calculations from vendors and/or contractors to confirm compliance with client specifications and design intent.
• Where required, provide advice and input to the design team on OFCI equipment impacts, interfaces, and constraints.

Change & Process Management

• Support the change management process related to OFCI scope, schedule, or technical requirements.
• Implement project procedures and ensure consistent application across OFCI packages.
• Assist in defining and embedding key project processes to support effective OFCI delivery and controls.

Construction Phase Responsibilities Site Oversight & Coordination

• Attend, chair (where required), and contribute to OFCI‑related coordination meetings; prepare agendas, record minutes, and track actions to closure.
• Monitor contractor and vendor performance on site, escalating risks, delays, or non‑conformances as required.
• Carry out regular site walks to observe safety, quality, and progress of OFCI installations, issuing and tracking corrective actions through to completion.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Conduct regular site inspections and review progress and quality reports for OFCI packages.
• Record, report, and drive closure of non‑conforming works through corrective and preventative actions.
• Ensure that correct work methods, installation procedures, and approved method statements are in place prior to installation of OFCI equipment.
• Manage and verify all required documentation, inspections, checklists, and sign‑offs associated with OFCI installations.

Equipment & Vendor Management

• Manage OFCI scope covering critical data centre plant and systems, typically including:
• Generators and fuel systems
• MV and LV switchgear
• UPS systems and batteries
• Building Automation Systems (BAS)
• Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS)
• Air Handling Units (AHUs) and associated mechanical plant
• Coordinate vendor delivery, offloading, storage, installation, and protection of equipment.
• Ensure interfaces between OFCI equipment and contractor‑installed systems are clearly defined and executed.

Manufacturing, FAT & Logistics Off‑Site Quality & Testing

• Engage with vendors at early stages of manufacturing to monitor progress against key milestones.
• Coordinate and attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Factory Witness Tests (FWT), and First‑of‑Kind (FoK) testing as required.
• Carry out regular visits to off‑site manufacturing facilities to:
• Verify QA/QC processes
• Inspect equipment prior to shipment
• Identify and resolve quality or schedule risks early

Logistics & Delivery

• Monitor manufacturing, shipping, and delivery schedules to ensure equipment arrives aligned with site readiness.
• Coordinate with contractors to ensure lifting plans, access routes, and installation sequencing are fully prepared in advance.

Handover & Close‑Out Snagging, Handover & Documentation

• Support the development and execution of the OFCI handover plan.
• Coordinate OFCI‑related snagging activities with the client team, consultants, and contractor, including schedule and stakeholder engagement.
• Monitor and track preparation, review, and approval of all OFCI handover documentation, including manuals, test certificates, and as‑built information.
• Ensure all OFCI equipment is fully supported through commissioning, acceptance, and turnover to Operations.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in data centre facilities maintenance, operations, construction, commissioning, or vendor management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field (advantageous but not essential).
• Strong experience working with critical infrastructure vendors and complex equipment packages.

Professional Skills

• Proven experience managing manufacturing QA/QC processes and vendor inspections.
• Strong understanding of data centre critical plant, systems, and interfaces.
• Excellent coordination, organisation, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Confident in chairing meetings, managing actions, and driving issues to resolution.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Fluent Danish and English, with the ability to communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Tools & Systems

• Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, Project).
• Experience with online document management and construction platforms (e.g. Procore, Bluebeam) is highly desirable.
