Network Specialist

We’re looking for an Intermediate Network Engineer to join one of our clients in Gothenburg. You’ll strengthen the design, operation and security of enterprise network services supporting corporate, manufacturing and digital business operations across multiple sites. This is a hands-on role covering network operations, infrastructure projects, hybrid cloud connectivity and critical incident support. What you’ll do

• Design, implement, maintain and optimize enterprise LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, WLAN and remote access solutions
• Configure and support routing, switching and network segmentation
• Manage enterprise firewalls, security policies and access controls
• Build and support Site-to-Site and Remote Access VPN (IPSec, SSL VPN)
• Support hybrid connectivity between on-premises and AWS, Azure and Alibaba Cloud
• Monitor performance and capacity, and troubleshoot incidents with root cause analysis
• Handle vulnerability remediation, patching and network hardening with the Security team
• Support DNS, DHCP, IPAM and load balancing
• Take part in upgrades, hardware refreshes, migrations and DR/business continuity testing
• Maintain documentation and topology diagrams, and contribute to network automation
• Work with telecom providers, managed service partners and vendors
• Join on-call duties for critical incidents when required

What we’re looking for

• 3-5+ years in network engineering, network operations or infrastructure engineering
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Network Engineering or Telecommunications (or equivalent experience)
• Hands-on routing and switching with Cisco, Fortinet, Huawei or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, DNS, DHCP and NAT
• Experience with enterprise firewalls (Fortinet, Cisco Firepower, Cisco ASA or equivalent)
• Experience with IPSec/SSL VPN and remote access environments
• Solid understanding of network security, segmentation and Zero Trust concepts
• Experience with hybrid cloud connectivity (AWS, Azure and/or Alibaba Cloud)
• Professional working English, written and spoken

Meriting

• CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet NSE or equivalent certification
• Automation with Python, Ansible or Terraform
• Monitoring and observability platforms
• ITIL-based incident, problem and change management
• Disaster recovery and high-availability design
• Experience from automotive, R&D or other complex multi-site environments
