We're looking for a Motion Designer to join our Marketing Department in central Stockholm. This is an opportunity to create visually engaging and on-brand motion graphics, animations, and video assets that elevate Navigraph’s visual communication. About Navigraph Navigraph is a Swedish SaaS company that provides the international flight simulation community with flight planning tools, navigation data, and aeronautical charts as those used in professional aviation. Our 1.8 million registered users care deeply about realism, procedures, and getting the details right. We're a team of nearly 60, including marketing professionals, software developers, UX and graphic designers, data analysts, content producers, and support specialists. Navigraph was founded by Stephen O'Connell (CTO) and Magnus Axholt (CEO), both of whom are still active in the company. The problem space is unusual: professional aviation complexity, consumer-grade usability expectations, and platforms spanning mobile, web, desktop, and in-simulator environments, including VR. You won't find this combination elsewhere. The team You'd join the Content & Creative Team in our Marketing Department, reporting to the Head of Marketing. The role The Motion Designer creates engaging motion graphics, animations, and video assets that bring Navigraph’s products and stories to life. Working across marketing, product communication, and Navigraph Academy, you’ll adapt motion to the needs of different channels and audiences while maintaining a strong and consistent visual identity. Motion Design and Animation - Create 2D and 3D motion graphics, product demos, UI animations, and visual effects. - Translate complex aviation, product, and software concepts into clear and engaging visual stories. - Create and adapt motion for different channels and formats, including campaigns, organic content, web, product releases, tutorials, and Navigraph Academy lessons. - Take projects from concept and storyboarding through animation and final delivery. Brand and Creative Development - Ensure motion and video assets align with Navigraph’s brand and visual language. - Work with the Design Council to develop how the Navigraph brand comes to life through motion. - Develop reusable templates, transitions, and animation systems that improve consistency and help us scale production. Collaboration and Ownership - Work closely with Content Producers, Designers, and Marketing to understand communication needs and turn them into effective visual solutions. - Take ownership of motion projects, proactively identify opportunities, and drive work forward from idea to delivery. - Use analytics, community feedback, and an understanding of each channel to continuously improve the work. - Stay current with motion design techniques and tools, and bring new ideas and approaches into the team. What we're looking for - Professional experience in motion design, with a strong portfolio showcasing 2D and 3D motion, animation, and visual storytelling. - Strong proficiency in After Effects, with experience in Premiere Pro and 3D tools such as Blender or Cinema 4D. - A strong eye for design, animation, timing, composition, and brand consistency. - Ability to translate complex products and technical concepts into clear, engaging visual communication. - An understanding of how motion needs to adapt across different channels and formats, from organic social and web to product showcases, campaigns, tutorials, and Navigraph Academy lessons. - A proactive mindset, you take ownership, identify opportunities, bring ideas to the table, and drive projects from concept to final delivery. - Strong collaboration and communication skills, working closely with Design, Marketing, and Content while balancing brand consistency with the needs of each channel. - Experience with UI animation, educational content, aviation, flight simulation, or technology is a plus.
