What you'll do

MEP Project Manager | Data Centre Build | Norway Up to £130,000 + accommodation + travel and project expenses A data centre is only ready when its systems work together. You’ll be responsible for getting it there. Paravon is recruiting an MEP Project Manager for a data centre build in Norway. This is a site-based position for someone who understands the technical detail, can lead contractors and knows how to keep complex building services packages moving towards a successful handover. You’ll take responsibility for the MEP scope, coordinating mechanical and electrical delivery and managing the interfaces between design, procurement, construction and commissioning. What you’ll take ownership of

  • Turn the overall project programme into clear MEP delivery plans, with practical milestones and accountable package owners.
  • Lead MEP subcontractors and suppliers, resolving constraints before they affect progress on site.
  • Coordinate MEP works with the civil, structural and architectural teams, particularly around access, sequencing and installation readiness.
  • Work through design queries, technical submissions and equipment approvals with the relevant specialists.
  • Track procurement and long-lead equipment, ensuring delivery dates support the construction programme.
  • Monitor costs, changes and delivery risks, giving the project leadership team a clear view of where action is needed.
  • Maintain strong standards of safety and installation quality, addressing issues as they arise.
  • Coordinate with the commissioning team on system readiness, testing and integrated systems testing.
  • Drive snag resolution, documentation and handover so the finished installation meets the agreed requirements.

What good looks like You know what is happening on site, what needs to happen next and what could stop it. Contractors understand their priorities. Technical issues reach the right people early. Progress reporting reflects reality. Commissioning requirements inform installation decisions from the outset. The experience we’re looking for

  • A track record of managing MEP delivery on data centre construction projects.
  • A mechanical, electrical or building services background, with the ability to coordinate across disciplines.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, programme commitments and technical interfaces on complex builds.
  • Working knowledge of critical power, cooling, controls and their commissioning requirements.
  • Commercial awareness, including change management and the impact of delays.
  • The confidence to challenge poor delivery, make decisions and maintain productive relationships with contractors and clients.
  • A relevant engineering qualification or equivalent practical experience.
  • Willingness to work on site in Norway.

The package

  • Salary up to £130,000, depending on experience.
  • Living accommodation provided.
  • Travel and agreed project expenses covered.
  • Working arrangements and the full package discussed during the initial conversation.

Interested? Send your CV or contact Paravon for a confidential conversation. We’d like to hear which projects you’ve delivered, the MEP scope you owned and how far you took it through commissioning and handover.
