MEP Package Engineer

MEP Package Engineer - Data Centres 📍 Norway About The Role We are looking for a motivated and technically capable MEP Package Engineer to support the delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing packages on complex data centre projects in Norway. Working closely with the MEP Package Manager and wider project team, you will assist in coordinating design activities, managing technical documentation, monitoring site progress, and supporting commissioning activities. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop your career within the fast-growing data centre sector. Key Responsibilities Technical Coordination

• Assist in the management and delivery of assigned MEP packages.
• Review drawings, specifications, and technical submissions.
• Support coordination between MEP, structural, architectural, and specialist package teams.
• Assist in resolving technical and interface issues.

Design Management

• Support design reviews and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate BIM models and assist with clash detection processes.
• Monitor design changes and maintain technical records.

Site Support

• Monitor installation activities and support progress tracking.
• Carry out site inspections and quality checks.
• Assist in identifying and resolving construction-related issues.
• Ensure work is executed in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.

Commissioning & Handover

• Support testing, commissioning, and system integration activities.
• Assist with preparation of commissioning documentation and handover records.
• Participate in snagging, quality inspections, and final project close-out.

Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain package trackers and technical registers.
• Prepare progress reports and meeting minutes.
• Support project controls and document management processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related discipline.
• Relevant industry certifications are beneficial.

Experience

• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in MEP engineering within the construction industry.
• Experience on data centres, industrial facilities, commercial developments, or mission-critical projects is preferred.
• Exposure to site-based construction activities and MEP coordination.
• Understanding of commissioning and testing processes.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office.
• Understanding of BIM coordination processes.
• Familiarity with construction methodologies and project delivery processes.
• Knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
