MEP Manager Location: Oslo, Norway Contract type: Fixed-term employment Contract duration: 12 Months minimum Start date: 02/11/2026 Working pattern: Site-based We are recruiting an MEP Manager to take control of multidisciplinary building-services delivery on a major data-centre project in Norway. You will own the points where mechanical, electrical and plumbing packages meet: design information, site access, installation sequence, controls integration, testing and turnover. The role runs from design development through construction, commissioning and handover, with daily coordination across the client, consultants, construction team, specialist contractors, equipment vendors and commissioning representatives. The strongest candidates understand how critical power, cooling, controls and life-safety systems depend on one another, and can resolve interface issues before they become site delays or commissioning failures. What you will own

• Direct on-site coordination of the mechanical, electrical and plumbing works, with clear priorities for each package and workfront.
• Resolve interfaces between MEP, CSA, controls, fire-protection and IT infrastructure packages, including space, access, power, controls and commissioning dependencies.
• Review drawings, specifications, technical submissions and construction information for buildability, coordination and alignment with project requirements.
• Set expectations for specialist contractors, suppliers and equipment manufacturers, then follow actions through to closure.
• Measure construction progress against the master programme and challenge package plans that do not support key milestones.
• Identify design, procurement, installation and commissioning risks early enough for the project team to act.
• Drive technical queries, RFIs, design changes and cross-package decisions to timely, documented closure.
• Coordinate the technical approval, manufacture, delivery and site readiness needed for long-lead equipment.
• Plan access, lifting, installation sequence and site logistics around live workfront constraints.
• Verify that MEP installations meet the project's safety, quality and performance requirements before work is covered up or released for testing.
• Work with planning teams to keep installation, energisation and commissioning schedules aligned and credible.
• Track inspections, mechanical completion, punch-list closure and system turnover by package and system boundary.
• Agree commissioning prerequisites and confirm that systems are ready for functional and integrated testing.
• Drive defect closure, final documentation and an orderly handover to the operations team.
• Give project leadership concise reporting on achieved progress, forecast dates, unresolved risks and required decisions.
• Set a visible standard for safe work and compliance with the project's Norwegian requirements.

What you will bring

• Experience leading multidisciplinary building-services delivery as an MEP Manager, MEP Lead, Technical Project Manager or Building Services Manager.
• A record of taking technically complex projects from coordinated design through construction, testing and handover.
• Enough mechanical and electrical depth to challenge package plans, identify missing interfaces and make sound coordination decisions.
• Experience directing several contractors and technical disciplines across shared work areas and milestones.
• Practical understanding of how design release, procurement, construction completion and commissioning readiness affect one another.
• The ability to interrogate drawings, specifications, schedules and technical submissions rather than relying on summary reports.
• Working knowledge of programme controls, inspection and quality processes, and construction safety.
• Clear communication that turns technical issues into named actions, owners and dates.
• The judgement and adaptability required for a site-based, international project team.
• The right to work in Norway, or the ability to satisfy the project's confirmed work-permit requirements.

Experience that would help

• Delivery experience in data centres, other mission-critical facilities, semiconductor plants, pharmaceutical facilities, hospitals or advanced manufacturing.
• Hyperscale or large colocation data-centre delivery.
• Energisation and integrated systems testing.
• High-density or liquid-cooled infrastructure.
• Norwegian or wider Nordic construction experience.
• Hands-on use of BIM coordination and digital completion platforms.
• A relevant engineering, construction or building-services qualification.
