MEP Lead Location Southern Sweden Contract Type Contract Position Working Pattern

• 3 Week Rotation:
• Week 1: Early morning flight to arrive on site no later than noon on Monday. (Monday 12pm - 4pm & Tuesday - Saturday 7am - 4pm)
• Week 2: Monday to Saturday (Monday - Saturday 7am - 4pm)
• Week 3: Monday to Wednesday (Monday - Tuesday 7am - 4pm & Wednesday 7am - 11:30am). Travel home Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday off.

Key Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the delivery and management of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) works throughout the project.
• Direct daily MEP construction activities, working closely with the broader site and project management teams.
• Maintain robust QA/QC controls, ensuring installations comply with approved specifications, quality requirements and project standards.
• Coordinate programme activities with planners, project managers, consultants, subcontractors and design disciplines to maintain alignment with key project milestones.
• Manage the performance of MEP subcontractors, including monitoring progress, reviewing workforce requirements and leading regular coordination sessions.
• Maintain oversight of subcontractor records, ensuring technical, project and Health & Safety documentation remains accurate, compliant and current.
• Lead and participate in key project meetings, including site coordination sessions, engineering reviews, programme meetings and handover activities.
• Work closely with the design function to ensure drawings, technical submissions and construction information are released in accordance with programme priorities.
• Review drawings and technical submissions, ensuring Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing services are fully coordinated and interfaces are addressed before installation.
• Maintain high standards of Health & Safety, promoting safe working practices throughout all MEP construction activities.
• Assist with commercial oversight by monitoring variations, supporting cost management and participating in regular commercial reviews.
• Produce and communicate project progress reports to senior management and relevant project stakeholders.
• Manage MEP snagging and outstanding works, ensuring items are recorded, monitored and closed within the required timescales.
• Anticipate technical, design and coordination challenges and drive the relevant teams towards effective and timely solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or another relevant technical discipline.
• Minimum of 8+ years' experience within MEP construction, including demonstrable leadership responsibility.
• Proven experience managing Mechanical and Electrical systems on major, large-scale construction developments.
• Strong understanding of MEP coordination, construction sequencing and programme delivery.
• Excellent leadership, organisational, communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems, installation methods and commissioning processes.
• Demonstrable ability to lead subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams while maintaining delivery against programme and project objectives.
• Previous experience within data centre, industrial or mission-critical environments would be advantageous.
