Role Description This is a full-time, on-site MEP Engineer role based in Trondheim. The MEP Engineer will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and coordinating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for building projects, ensuring compliance with local codes, standards, and project specifications. Daily tasks include preparing technical drawings and calculations, supporting BIM and coordination meetings, resolving design clashes, and working closely with architects, structural engineers, and contractors to align MEP solutions with overall project requirements. The role also involves site inspections, monitoring installation quality, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing clear documentation and reports to project stakeholders. The MEP Engineer will contribute to optimizing energy efficiency, system reliability, and maintainability across all assigned projects. Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems and overall Building Services design and coordination.
  • Candidates should possess skills in MEP Coordination, including clash detection, multidisciplinary collaboration, and integration of systems in complex building projects.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Engineering, including load calculations, distribution design, and familiarity with relevant standards and safety regulations.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Plumbing system design, including water supply, drainage, and sanitary systems that comply with local building codes.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with design tools and BIM/coordination software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks) is highly beneficial.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in calculations and documentation.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse project teams on-site.
  • Familiarity with local and international building codes, standards, and sustainability practices is an advantage.
