Media Relations Coordinator

Your role As Media Relations Coordinator, you will be part of Saab’s Press Centre and support the company’s media relations activities in Sweden and internationally. Saab is growing, and with increased activity across the company comes a growing need for effective, structured and high-quality media relations. The Press Centre has a central role in Saab’s external communication and works closely with communications functions, business areas and other parts of the organisation. In this role, you will contribute to the day-to-day operations of the Press Centre, with a particular focus on coordination, project administration, research, media monitoring and practical support. You will help the team maintain high quality and efficient ways of working while contributing to the continued development of the Press Centre's output in line with Saab's growth. You will work in a fast-paced and international environment where priorities can change quickly. The role requires structure, flexibility, attention to detail and a strong service mindset. You will work closely with the other members of the Press Centre and provide support to the Head of Media Relations as well as to colleagues across the organisation. The position is based in Stockholm and some travelling should be anticipated. Your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinate and support media activities and projects, including press visits, press tours, exhibitions and other external events.
• Support major corporate communication activities, such as Capital Markets Day, the Annual General Meeting and quarterly reporting.
• Coordinate practical preparations for media interviews and visits, including research, briefing material, logistics and follow-up.
• Produce regular news briefs and media summaries and support the Press Centre with media research and monitoring.
• Compile and follow up KPIs for the Press Centre and contribute to reporting and evaluation of media activities.
• Maintain media lists and distributions in Cision and ensure that media contacts and related resources are kept up to date.
• Coordinate selected Press Centre projects and productions, including Saab's annual news film and other recurring activities.
• Support the Head of Media Relations and the Press Centre team with coordination, presentations, research, meeting preparations and day-to-day activities.
• Maintain structures, checklists, manuals and shared working tools, including the Press Centre's Teams environment.
• Support the production of presentations, media briefs, Q&As and other communication material.
• Coordinate and host external visits together with relevant colleagues across Saab.
• Contribute to developing efficient processes and ways of working within the Press Centre.

Your profile We are looking for a structured, proactive and service-oriented communicator who enjoys working in an environment with a high pace and many parallel activities. You have a strong interest in media, communications and current affairs and are curious about Saab's business, products and markets. You enjoy making things happen, coordinating people and activities and creating structure. You are comfortable taking responsibility for your assignments while being a collaborative team player. Good judgement, discretion and attention to detail are important, as Saab operates in the defence and security sector where information can be sensitive. You have a university degree in communications, journalism, media, political science or another relevant field, or equivalent experience. Some previous professional experience from communications, media, project coordination, corporate affairs, PR or a related area is an advantage. We believe that you have:

• an ability to conduct research and quickly understand new and sometimes complex topics,
• good skills in Microsoft 365, particularly PowerPoint and Teams,
• a service-oriented and collaborative approach,
• strong attention to detail and quality, and
• excellent Swedish and English skills, both written and spoken.

Experience of Cision or other media monitoring and distribution tools is an advantage. Required personality To succeed in the role, we believe that you are:
