Mechanical Package Manager Location Sweden Contract Type Permanent hire / Rotational role Working Pattern

• 3 week rotation:
• Week 1: Early morning flight to arrive on site no later than noon on Monday. (Monday 12pm - 4pm & Tuesday - Saturday 7am - 4pm)
• Week 2: Monday to Saturday (7am - 4pm)
• Week 3: Monday - Tuesday (7am - 4pm), Wednesday (7am - 11:30am). Travel home Wednesday; Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday off.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage mechanical construction packages throughout all stages of project delivery.
• Oversee daily mechanical works on site, working closely with construction and project management teams.
• Manage QA/QC activities, ensuring all mechanical installations comply with approved specifications, quality requirements and project standards.
• Work alongside planners, project managers, subcontractors, consultants and design disciplines to coordinate activities against the overall construction programme.
• Monitor and manage mechanical subcontractor performance, including progress, workforce levels, resourcing and regular coordination meetings.
• Maintain oversight of subcontractor records, ensuring all required project, technical and Health & Safety documentation remains accurate and current.
• Participate in key project meetings, including site coordination sessions, engineering reviews, programme meetings and handover activities.
• Interface with the design function to ensure drawings, technical submissions and required construction information are released in accordance with programme priorities.
• Review mechanical drawings and technical submissions, ensuring systems and associated interfaces are correctly coordinated ahead of installation.
• Assist the commercial function by monitoring variations and participating in regular commercial reviews.
• Prepare and provide appropriate progress updates and reports to the wider project delivery team.
• Manage the identification, distribution, tracking and final close-out of mechanical snagging and outstanding works.
• Identify potential technical, design and coordination challenges on site and work with relevant parties to achieve timely resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a comparable engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years' experience within mechanical construction.
• Experience managing mechanical packages on major, large-scale construction developments.
• Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, sequencing and programme delivery.
• Excellent organisational, communication and coordination capabilities.
• Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems, installation methods and site-based construction activities.
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors effectively and maintain delivery against project milestones and programme requirements.
• Previous experience within data centre, industrial or mission-critical environments is advantageous.
