  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between engineering teams, attributes, suppliers, design, manufacturing, purchasing, and program management.
  • Organise and lead technical workshops, integration reviews, and decision-making forums to drive alignment and issue resolution.
  • Manage system and component interfaces, ensuring technical compatibility and programme maturity.
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations to support engineering decisions, risk mitigation, and problem-solving activities.
  • Balance vehicle requirements related to performance, cost, weight, quality, sustainability, manufacturability, and compliance.
  • Drive closure of integration issues and secure resolution before key project gateways and release milestones.
  • Monitor project maturity, CAD releases, engineering deliverables, and integration readiness throughout development phases.
  • Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and recovery plans to management and key stakeholders.
  • Support the development and maintenance of vehicle mechanical architecture and integration strategies.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Product Development, or a related technical field.
  • Extensive experience within automotive product development and vehicle integration.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical packaging, system integration, and interface management.
  • Hands-on experience with CATIA and Teamcenter.
  • Previous experience from Volvo Cars product development environment.
  • Solid understanding of vehicle development processes, engineering gateways, release management, and maturity planning.
  • Proven ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and drive technical alignment in complex organisations.
  • Strong communication and workshop facilitation skills.
  • Ability to combine strategic thinking with detailed technical analysis.

Personal Attributes

  • Solution-oriented with a proactive mindset.
  • Strong leadership and influence skills without formal authority.
  • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder-management capabilities.
  • Comfortable working in cross-functional and international environments.
  • Able to maintain a "helicopter view" while managing detailed technical challenges when required.
  • Structured, analytical, and driven to achieve results.
