Mechanical Engineer

Assignment description The projects are fast-paced and require close collaboration across R&D, Production, and other internal stakeholders. The role involves working in an environment with a high degree of uncertainty, where flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing conditions are important.

You will contribute to concept development and design work, supporting the creation of innovative technical solutions and ensuring that designs are feasible and aligned with project goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to concept development and early-phase design of advanced vehicles.
• Create 3D models and concept-level drawings in Catia V5.
• Support development of technical solutions within areas such as cooling systems, braking systems, steering, and battery installations.
• Collaborate closely with R&D, Production, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Participate in vehicle layout work and ensure design feasibility.
• Perform or support FEM calculations to validate design concepts.
• Deliver design work at a “good enough” concept level within tight timelines.
• Contribute to continuous development and improvement of technical solutions.

Experience & Skills:

• Minimum 7 years of experience within mechanical design or a related field
• Strong experience from concept development and early-phase engineering
• Proven experience working with Catia V5 (3D)
• Good knowledge of Enovia or similar PLM systems
• Experience in designing BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) solutions
• Understanding of vehicle layout and system integration
• Experience within cooling systems, braking systems, steering, or battery components is highly meritorious
• Knowledge of FEM calculations for design validation
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments with evolving requirements
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
