Freelance Mechanical Engineer - Product Development & Innovation Location: Denmark (Hybrid) Contract: Freelance | 12+ Months Rate: Competitive Hourly Rate We're supporting an innovative engineering company developing a next-generation automated product platform for global markets. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-profile R&D project, taking products from concept and prototype through to testing and production. What You'll Be Doing

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using 3D CAD.
• Support product development from concept through to manufacture.
• Perform FEA and engineering calculations to validate designs.
• Build, test, and refine prototypes.
• Collaborate with electronics, software, and systems engineers.
• Drive design improvements, solve technical challenges, and support product testing.
• Work with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure successful product delivery.

What We're Looking For

• Strong Mechanical Engineering background.
• Experience in R&D and product development environments.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, NX, Inventor, or CATIA.
• Experience with FEA, prototyping, and design-for-manufacture.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a hands-on engineering mindset.
• Experience with freelancing before isn't essential but highly desired.
