Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a collaborative R&D engineering team focused on the development and continuous improvement of complex industrial products and systems. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to new product development, support ongoing product enhancements, and work closely with manufacturing, procurement, and other cross-functional teams to solve technical challenges and improve product quality. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who enjoys working in a team-oriented environment and has experience with mechanical design and 3D CAD modeling. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and improve mechanical designs for industrial products and components.
• Support new product development initiatives as well as enhancements to existing products.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models and related engineering documentation.
• Evaluate and implement design improvement proposals for critical mechanical components.
• Investigate and resolve production and supplier-related quality issues, including non-conformance reports (NCRs).
• Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, suppliers, and other engineering functions to ensure efficient product development and issue resolution.
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities that enhance product performance, quality, and manufacturability.
• Utilize engineering tools and systems such as CAD, product lifecycle management (PLM), and ERP platforms in daily work.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling and mechanical design principles.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team environment.
• Good communication skills in English and Swedish, both written and verbal.
• A proactive, self-driven approach with a continuous improvement mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Mechanical Design Engineer (Preferably in Aerospace domain)
• Experience within industrial manufacturing, energy, heavy engineering, or similar technical environments.
• Familiarity with Siemens NX, Teamcenter, and SAP.
• Knowledge of product development, manufacturing processes, and quality management practices.
