We are looking for you – Mechanical Design Engineer

At Clevry, we are now looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer for our international industrial technology client in Espoo, Finland. This is a full-time position with employment through Clevry.

The preferred start date is in August 2026, or as agreed.

In this role, you will join a large international engineering team developing heavy industrial equipment for demanding customer projects around the world. The equipment is customized for each project, giving you the opportunity to solve interesting engineering challenges while working with experienced professionals.

This position is ideal for a mechanical engineer with a few years of experience who wants to develop their expertise in product design within an international project environment.

The position follows a hybrid working model. During the onboarding period, we hope you will spend most of your time at the office to get to know the team and the products. After that, flexible hybrid work is possible.

In this role, you will:

  • Design mechanical components and product modules for large industrial equipment
  • Create 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and technical documentation
  • Prepare and maintain manufacturing packages
  • Participate in engineering projects from design to documentation
  • Take part in technical risk assessments together with the project team
  • Review project documentation and technical requirements
  • Work closely with project managers, sourcing, customers, and other engineering teams
  • Support the continuous development of products and engineering solutions

You will become part of an experienced international team where collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning are an important part of everyday work.

What we expect

  • A relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Sc. or M.Sc.)
  • At least a few years of experience in mechanical design
  • Experience working with heavy industrial equipment, machinery, or similar products
  • Experience with 3D CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken, Finnish is beneficial
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of your work
  • Good communication and collaboration skills
  • A structured and detail-oriented way of working
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing to a multidisciplinary project team
