Mechanical Commissioning Lead Location: Stavanger, Norway Project: Hyperscale Data Centre Contract Duration: 18+ Months Role Overview We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Commissioning Lead to join a major hyperscale data centre project in Stavanger, Norway. The successful candidate will join the project from the early stages and play a key role in establishing the mechanical commissioning strategy, developing commissioning procedures and leading activities from construction through testing and final handover. This is a long-term opportunity to work on a major European data centre development within an experienced commissioning team. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical commissioning activities across the project.
  • Support the development and implementation of the commissioning strategy.
  • Develop commissioning procedures, scripts and QA/QC documentation.
  • Manage and coordinate Level 1–5 commissioning activities.
  • Review P&IDs, technical specifications and mechanical drawings.
  • Identify and resolve technical and field issues throughout commissioning.
  • Oversee commissioning of HVAC and critical mechanical infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with construction teams, vendors, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
  • Support BMS/BAS integration and testing.
  • Ensure commissioning activities are delivered in accordance with project quality and safety requirements.

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years’ experience in Mechanical Commissioning within mission-critical environments.
  • Previous hyperscale data centre experience is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of Level 1–5 commissioning processes.
  • Experience developing commissioning procedures, scripts and QA/QC documentation.
  • Strong understanding of:
  • HVAC systems
  • Chilled water systems
  • CRAH/CRAC units
  • Air handling units
  • Humidification systems
  • Pumps and associated controls
  • BMS/BAS and integrated building services
  • Ability to interpret P&IDs, technical specifications and mechanical drawings.
  • Strong leadership, planning and stakeholder management skills.
