Master Thesis: Resource Orchestration for Agentic AI Systems

Join our Team About this opportunity: We are looking for a motivated Master's student to conduct a research thesis on resource management and orchestration for Agentic AI systems. Agentic AI applications may dynamically interact with models, tools, and external services, resulting in changing and difficult-to-predict requirements for computing resources, communication, and latency. This thesis will explore approaches for monitoring, predicting, and managing these resources across cloud and edge environments. The project offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of Agentic AI, cloud-edge computing, distributed systems, and intelligent resource orchestration. You will receive mentorship from experienced researchers and engineers, access to relevant tools and experimental environments, and the opportunity to contribute to an emerging research area. What you will do:

• Study resource requirements and orchestration challenges in Agentic AI systems.
• Explore methods for resource monitoring, prediction, and adaptive allocation.
• Develop and evaluate a prototype or simulation-based solution.
• Analyse trade-offs related to performance, resource efficiency, and scalability.
• Document the findings and identify opportunities for future development.

The skills you bring:

• You are a Master's student in Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineering, or a related field.
• You have a good understanding of cloud or edge computing, distributed systems, or AI systems.
• You have programming experience, preferably in Python, Rust, or Go.
• You are interested in experimental evaluation and data analysis.
• You have good technical writing and communication skills.

The following experience or interests are considered a plus:

• Artificial intelligence and large language models.
• Kubernetes and cloud platforms.
• Computer networking.
• Resource optimisation and adaptive systems.
