What you'll do

Allison Transmission is seeking a commercially driven Market Development Manager to accelerate demand for Allison equipped vehicles across the Nordic and Baltic markets. This is an indirect sales / market development position—not a traditional direct sales role. You will engage with decision makers in the fleets of end-users to support and create market demand, as well as with OEMs, dealerships, body builders and Allison channel partners to support business growth in the area. Location: Norway OR Sweden Key Responsibilities • Develop long-term relationships with fleets, end users, OEMs, dealers, distributors, and body builders • Promote Allison solutions and generate market demand through both pull (end user engagement) and push (local OEM/importer support) activities • Identify growth opportunities across the truck, municipal, refuse, construction, fire & emergency, and bus & coach sectors • Support product demonstrations, training sessions, events, and other market development initiatives • Capture market intelligence, maintain accurate CRM data, and deliver structured reporting • Operate independently while managing a large multi‑country territory • Travel throughout Norway, Sweden, and the broader Nordic & Baltic region Requirements – Must • Experience in indirect sales / market development, particularly within B2B and commercial vehicle environments • Fluent English and willingness to travel extensively across the region • Ability to work autonomously, plan independently, and manage a broad geographic territory • Professional school, technical education, or university degree (any field) Requirements – Preferred Experience engaging with: • Fleets or fleet operators, especially in medium and heavy‑duty vehicle segments • Commercial, technical, service, or aftermarket roles within truck OEMs, OEM dealer networks, or commercial vehicle manufacturers • Body builders in relevant end‑user segments • Bus & coach industry • Familiarity with local OEM/importer networks in Northern Europe • CRM system experience and structured reporting habits Why This Role Attracts the Right Talent • Work with a global leader in propulsion technology, respected worldwide for reliability and innovation • Take full ownership of a high‑impact regional role with autonomy in strategy and execution • Influence the adoption of Allison solutions among major fleets, OEMs, and commercial vehicle partners • Operate in a dynamic market with strong demand potential across multiple vocations • Engage deeply with customers, become their trusted advisor, and shape the future of commercial vehicle operations in the Nordic & Baltic region
