Manufacturing Engineer

About the role Our manufacturing setup is built around close collaboration with external Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) partners, making Manufacturing Engineering a critical link between product development and production. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing new products for production, managing production transfers between manufacturing sites, and ensuring our EMS partners have the documentation, processes, and technical support required to manufacture our products efficiently and consistently. This entails working closely with R&D and EMS partners to develop robust and scalable manufacturing solutions. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who understands the dynamics of outsourced electronics manufacturing and enjoys operating at the intersection of engineering, production, and supplier collaboration. Key responsibilities

• Support new product introductions by ensuring products, processes, and manufacturing documentation are ready for efficient and scalable production.
• Act as the key Manufacturing Engineering interface between R&D, Test Engineering and external manufacturing partners (EMS).
• Lead DFM/DFA activities and ensure manufacturing requirements are incorporated early in the product development process.
• Define and mature manufacturing concepts, processes, production flows, tooling and workstations together with internal stakeholders and EMS partners.
• Drive manufacturing readiness and process robustness through risk assessments and ensure PFMEA activities, control plans, and capability evaluations.
• Support product and production transfers between manufacturing sites and EMS partners, including preparation, pilot builds, validation, qualification and ramp-up.
• Support pilot and pre-series builds, driving manufacturing issue resolution and feeding lessons learned back into product and process design.
• Drive manufacturing-related root cause analysis and continuous improvement across products and external manufacturing partners.
• Participate in technical reviews and supplier/EMS assessments and challenge manufacturing solutions where required.

What we are looking for

• Strong practical understanding of electronics manufacturing and industrialization. Experience working with contract manufacturers / EMS partners is a strong advantage.
• Experience with NPI, product transfers or production ramp-up in an international manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of DFM/DFA, PFMEA, process validation, manufacturing capability and production readiness.
• Ability to translate engineering requirements into practical, scalable manufacturing solutions.
• Comfortable working cross-functionally across R&D, Operations, Quality, Procurement and suppliers.
• Able to take ownership and drive technical topics independently in an environment where priorities and requirements may evolve
