What you'll do

Hacksaw is a fast-growing international technology and gaming company, founded in 2018 and listed on Nasdaq Stockholm. We develop innovative games and technology solutions for online casino operators worldwide. We are now looking for a Legal Counsel to join our Stockholm office and take responsibility for legal matters within our Swedish operations. What we offer This is an opportunity to join a dynamic, international technology group where you will have a direct impact on the business and work close to the commercial decision-making. As Legal Counsel at Hacksaw, you will become the first dedicated in-house lawyer in our Swedish organisation, working near the CEO, CFO and other key stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of a broad range of legal matters, establish efficient ways of working and contribute to the continued development of a rapidly growing business. We offer an entrepreneurial, creative and collaborative environment where decisions are made quickly, ideas are encouraged and legal advice is valued as an important part of business success. About the role You will be responsible for providing practical, business-oriented legal support with a particular focus on commercial contracts and corporate law. You manage legal matters from start to finish, always ensuring that legal risks are addressed in a pragmatic and commercially sound manner. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements, including supplier and consultancy contracts.
  • Providing proactive and commercially relevant legal advice to management and other internal stakeholders.
  • Managing general corporate legal matters and preparing relevant corporate documentation.
  • Supporting selected investment initiatives and M&A-related matters.
  • Identifying legal matters requiring specialist expertise and coordinating with external legal advisors.
  • Developing efficient legal processes, templates and ways of working to support the business.

You will report directly to the CEO and collaborate closely with the finance and investor relations teams, as well as with the Group’s established legal and compliance function in Malta. About you We are looking for someone with a law degree and a minimum of four years of qualified legal experience from a business law firm. You combine strong knowledge of corporate and commercial law with experience in independently drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements. Experience of working with listed companies, capital markets and/or corporate transactions is considered an advantage. However, experience from the iGaming industry is not required. As a person, you are proactive and commercially minded, with a pragmatic and solution-oriented approach to legal issues. You show sound judgement and understand how to assess legal risks in a business context while also focusing on finding practical solutions. You are confident working independently, comfortable taking ownership and enjoy being closely involved in day-to-day business operations. You thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities may change and where your ability to combine attention to detail with a broader commercial perspective is essential. You communicate clearly, build trust with stakeholders at all levels and are comfortable working in an international environment. Fluency in English is essential and strong Swedish language skills are highly valued. The position is based at our office in central Stockholm, where you will become part of a dynamic and creative team of approximately 130 colleagues. We value collaboration and a strong team spirit, which is why the we encourage an office-first culture where we can work closely together.
