What you'll do

Would you like to join a global retailer and help us reach our strategic objectives in relation to global expansion through franchise, acquisitions of joint ventures, corporate restructuring and general corporate law and commercial matters? You will be based at our HQ office in Strandgade, in the heart of Copenhagen and report directly to the General Counsel, as part of the HQ legal team that has the overall responsibility for all legal issues worldwide and works as a legal business partner when advising the organisation. The pace is high, but so is the flexibility. The work is varied and you will always have several projects running at once. This is the job In collaboration with relevant business stakeholders, you will….

  • Advise the organisation independently, from top management to local management of subsidiaries and stakeholders across the different departments and HQ functions.
  • Execute legal aspects of our global joint venture strategy.
  • Be responsible for Flying Tiger Copenhagen’s corporate governance and legal entity structure, incl. processes related to establishment of and changes to subsidiaries.
  • Coordinate board and general meeting matters, including resolutions, minutes and statutory filings, across the group.
  • Draft, review and negotiate various types of commercial contracts, e.g. distribution, logistics, supplier, service, consulting agreements etc.
  • Manage contractual claims and disputes.
  • Drive M&A, restructuring and other corporate projects.
  • Provide general legal support to our global subsidiaries.
  • Engage with and manage external counsel.
  • Train and engage with the business on legal topics, and establish and strength solid ways of working.

This is you

  • You hold a master's degree in law (cand.jur.) or business law (cand.merc.jur.) or equivalent, with solid knowledge of Danish corporate law, and perhaps a license to practise law.
  • You have a well-developed commercial mindset and are eager to understand the business to provide commercially oriented legal advice.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience from a law firm, or from an internationally oriented in-house legal function.
  • You have a solid generalist skillset and enjoy building relationships and trust with stakeholders across the business and across cultures, all while having fun.
  • You work independently and in a structured, service-minded way, taking ownership of legal projects and tasks from the outset.
  • You thrive in an informal, non-corporate culture.
  • You are proficienct in English and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
