Legal Counsel @ Enity Bank Group

This is a broad in-house role where you will be the key legal point of contact for Enity Bank Group's Finnish operations, while working closely with the wider legal team across the Nordic organisation. You will be the sole lawyer in Finland, while having the support of your legal colleagues across the Nordics whenever needed. _Enity believes in people's potential and is challenging the Nordic mortgage market by making banking more inclusive, sustainable and human. As a listed company, Enity operates through the brands Bluestep Bank, Bank2 and 60plusbanken, offering mortgages to customers often excluded by traditional banks – for example, due to self-employment, type of employment, age or credit history – as well as savings products. The Group operates across Sweden, Norway and Finland and is entering its next phase of growth, with an ambition to develop through new products, partnerships, distribution models and M&A. In Finland, Enity operates through a local branch of Enity Bank Group AB (publ)._ In this role, you will support the Finnish business on a wide range of legal and regulatory matters, with a particular focus on mortgage lending, consumer credit and the day-to-day legal needs of the branch. The role offers significant independence and close interaction with both the local business and colleagues across the Group. In more concrete terms, you will:

• provide legal advice to the Finnish branch on a broad range of matters
• support the mortgage business on matters relating to lending, security, property law, consumer protection, debt collection and insolvency
• review marketing materials and customer communications from a legal and regulatory perspective
• review and negotiate commercial agreements
• support the business in relation to customer matters, complaints and disputes
• monitor relevant Finnish legislation and regulatory developments and support their implementation within the branch
• advise on regulatory requirements applicable to the Finnish operations and support interactions with relevant authorities when needed
• prepare internal legal guidance and training
• support the Group in connection with potential acquisitions and other strategic transactions, including legal due diligence, transaction documentation and integration-related matters

The position is based in Helsinki and reports to the Bank's CLO, who is based in Stockholm. You will be part of the Nordic Legal team and collaborate closely with legal colleagues across the Group. In Finland, you will act as the main legal point of contact for the local organisation and work closely with the Branch Manager for Finland, contributing to the continued development and growth of Enity Bank Group's business in Finland. This role would be ideal for a legal professional who:

• has a Finnish master's degree in law and at least three years of relevant post-qualification experience (however this is just the minimum requirement, and the role has plenty to offer a more senior lawyer as well) preferably from a bank, financial institution, law firm or other regulated business;
• has experience from one or more of the following areas: banking and finance, mortgage lending or other consumer credit, consumer protection, insolvency, debt collection or disputes or financial regulation;
• is comfortable taking ownership of matters and working independently, while also collaborating closely with colleagues across different functions and jurisdictions;
• can translate legal and regulatory requirements into clear, practical advice and is interested in understanding the commercial context in which you work; and
• has excellent communication skills in Finnish and English. Knowledge of Swedish is considered an advantage.
