Lead Fintech Developer

Location: Primarily based in Copenhagen with the option for some remote work. We are an international fintech startup seeking a Senior Fintech Developer to take lead on our payments APIs in our closely-knit and super agile team. Our team consists of 9 different nationalities where English is our working and social language of choice. • Lead the API development of our next-generation payment solution, leveraging blockchain technology as the underlying ledger.
• Design, develop, and maintain APIs built on Java Spring that ensure robustness and scalability.
• Design and implement scalable data models with PostgreSQL as the underlying database.
• Have ownership of your work within assistance from the existing team, with the opportunity of building a team around you as we scale.
• Ensure security measures and best practices are followed throughout the development lifecycle.
• Be a part of redefining and improving development strategies including CI/CD, documentation, and Git workflows.
• Manage, improve and add integrations to external providers

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in software development within fintech or related industries.
• Previous leadership experience with the ability to be a mentor and grow a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Curiosity and eagerness to learn about blockchain technology and its applications in fintech.
• 5+ years Java experience (or something similar C# for example).
• 5+ years of Fintech experience (preferably not from legacy banks)
• Experience designing/architecting API solutions
• Experience with data modelling, database management, and ensuring data security.
• Familiarity with development strategies such as CI/CD, documentation, and Git.
• Knowledge of the fintech space and what it means to be a regulated company working with payments.
• Experience working with AWS (or other cloud platforms such as Azure)
