Meet Polar Pals A music world. A place in family life. Polar Pals is our new children's music and video world for an international audience. Songs, characters and videos for sing-alongs, movement, bedtime and everyday family routines. We're building a tasteful, trustworthy and high-quality world across YouTube, Spotify, Amazon, Apple and other platforms. Now we're looking for someone to help shape the music product behind it. Explore Polar Pals on YouTube ↗ Music, characters and everyday listening moments. About The Role Own the music product. Help build the world. Arctic Studio is looking for a hands-on Kids Music Product Lead to help build the music product engine behind Polar Pals. You will help shape what songs we should make, why we should make them, how they should sound, how they should be packaged, and how the music connects to video, playlists, search, streaming platforms and audience needs. This role combines musical judgment, product thinking and practical follow-through. You will work with repertoire ideas, song choices, version strategy, music briefs, release planning, platform packaging and publishing readiness. You do not need to produce tracks yourself. You do need to understand music well enough to guide producers and musicians, review demos and mixes, and give useful direction on arrangement, tempo, instrumentation, vocal delivery, mood, age fit and production quality. You will work closely with our music, design, animation and release teams. This is a hands-on product role with room to grow into real ownership, rather than a traditional people management role. The role primarily focuses on Polar Pals and may also support Arctic Studio’s wider children’s music catalogue over time. What you’ll do 01 Repertoire and musical direction

  • Shape repertoire ideas for nursery rhymes, lullabies, movement songs, seasonal songs, classroom music and family listening.
  • Suggest which songs and versions we should create, and explain why.
  • Turn broad ideas into clear briefs for producers and musicians.
  • Guide production around the intended audience, use case, sound and quality.
  • Review demos and mixes with specific, useful musical feedback before they move into video and release.

02 Versions, video and platform packaging

  • Guide version strategy across vocal, instrumental, sing-along, dance, sleep, classroom and seasonal use cases.
  • Package music products for Spotify, Amazon, Apple, YouTube and other platforms.
  • Work with visual and animation collaborators to turn music into stronger video-led content.
  • Connect music, video, titles, playlists, metadata and release plans, with a clear purpose for each product.
  • Support YouTube and social output with strong music and product thinking.

03 Release planning and follow-through

  • Create and maintain release plans, product priorities and publishing readiness.
  • Work with musicians, designers, animators and release teams to move the right products through the pipeline.
  • Make sure titles, metadata, descriptions and public-facing language are accurate, natural and trustworthy.
  • Follow through on the practical details so products become ready to publish.

What you bring Musical judgment. Product thinking. Practical follow-through. You do not need to be the most senior person in the room. You do need to be curious, organised, musically aware and able to turn ideas into clear releases.

  • A strong interest in children’s music, kids content, nursery rhymes, lullabies or family entertainment.
  • Strong musical judgment and the ability to understand children’s music from an audio perspective.
  • The ability to give clear direction on arrangement, tempo, instrumentation, vocal delivery, mood, energy, age fit and production quality.
  • A good understanding of how music works as a product across streaming platforms and YouTube.
  • Strong English and good judgment around titles, language, metadata and public-facing copy.
  • The ability to think in use cases such as bedtime, movement, classroom, sing-along, calm time and seasonal moments.
  • Good project coordination skills, attention to detail and the ability to work with musicians, designers, animators and release teams.
  • A practical, hands-on mindset, an interest in YouTube, Shorts and social media as growth channels, and a willingness to grow with the role.

This is not only a strategy role. We are looking for someone who enjoys both shaping the music and doing the work needed to get it released. Practical details The essentials Location Stockholm / hybrid / remote depending on fit Role type Full-time Start As soon as possible Main focus Polar Pals, with potential to support our wider children’s music catalogue About Arctic Studio Arctic Studio builds long-term music worlds across children’s music, fantasy and gaming, wellness, sleep, piano, ambient and mood-based listening. Our goal is to create catalogues and brands that work across streaming platforms, video, playlists, content and partnerships. With Polar Pals, we are building a trusted children’s music and video world for an international audience: tasteful, musical, character-led and designed for the platforms families use. Your application Show us how you think. Explore Polar Pals, then answer the three questions below. Keep your answers to one page in English. No music, artwork, videos or presentation required.

  • What music should we make?

Suggest one or two songs Polar Pals should produce. Explain the intended age group, listening situation and musical direction. Why do your choices have commercial potential, and why would a family choose our version over existing alternatives? Familiar songs and original song concepts are both welcome.

  • How would you build an audience on YouTube and social media?

Choose one of your song proposals. Describe the video and supporting social content you would create, including a concrete format and title idea. Explain how you would reach an initial audience and encourage repeat viewing.

  • How would you approach streaming?

Explain how you would package and release the same music on Spotify and other streaming platforms. Which versions or release formats would you prioritise, how would listeners discover them, and what would you measure to judge success? State any important assumptions. We value thoughtful priorities over long lists of ideas. We encourage smart use of AI, but want to understand your own thinking. Please make your application specific, personal and relevant to this role. Generic AI-written applications will not be prioritised. Ready to apply?
