Role snapshot
Shape the Swedish Market for Exceptional Spaces Architecture – Design – Premium Materials – Growth (Stockholm / Sweden) The Company Dinesen is a family-owned Danish design and manufacturing company, founded in 1898. For more than a century, Dinesen has explored the possibilities of wood, combining craftsmanship, curiosity and responsibility to create lasting floors, interiors and spaces. Based in Jels, southern Denmark, Dinesen has grown from a family sawmill into an international design brand, working closely with architects, designers, artists, and clients around the world. Its products and solutions are used in private and professional settings, from floors, walls and ceilings to stairs and other interior applications. Dinesen works across architecture, design, art, and craftsmanship, with wood at the centre of its practice. From selecting and processing each tree to developing solutions for individual spaces, the company works to make full use of the material and its natural qualities. The Position As Key Account Manager – Sweden, you will develop Dinesen’s Swedish market and drive the company’s presence and growth in Sweden. Based in Stockholm, you will build and strengthen relationships with architects, designers, clients and strategic partners across the market. You will develop existing accounts while identifying and establishing new strategic relationships. A key part of the role is generating specifications with architects and designers, creating new project opportunities and positioning Dinesen as the premium design and material concept. You will manage projects throughout the sales cycle, from initial specification through to order placement, while providing market insights to the wider Sales organisation. The position is home-based, strongly field-based, with responsibility for the entire Swedish market and a particular focus on building long-term relationships and creating demand. You will work closely with Dinesen’s international Sales organisation and Inside Sales in Denmark, which supports quotations, order management and administration. This lets you focus on proactive market activity, customer relationships, and projects. The Candidate You have at least five years’ experience in field sales within the construction industry, with a proven track record in relationship-based sales and account management. Experience with premium or high-end brands is valuable, as is a genuine interest in design, architecture and high-quality products. You are an excellent communicator who is self-motivated, results-driven and highly organised. You build long-term relationships with credibility and persistence, and you are comfortable taking ownership of a market while working closely with colleagues and partners. Experience as a Key Account Manager is preferred. Experience selling premium interior or building materials is an advantage. A background in architecture, interior design, construction projects or a technical/craft environment can be valuable. You are professional and trustworthy, flexible and collaborative, and able to navigate long sales cycles and complex projects. You are comfortable working with CRM systems and understand the importance of maintaining accurate information, following up on opportunities, and reporting progress and results. Above all, you are motivated by the combination of people, projects, architecture and exceptional materials. You know how to sell value rather than price, tell a compelling story and build relationships across the wider construction and interior ecosystem.
