About the Job We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Key Account Manager Rail to join our commercial team. As a Key Account Manager you will act as the primary point of contact for key customers within the rail industry, developing long-term partnerships and driving sustainable business growth across the EMEA region. You will bring a strong commercial acumen with excellent technical understanding and a process-driven mindset. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing customer strategies, identifying new business opportunities, coordinating cross-functional activities, and ensuring customer satisfaction while contributing to the achievement of strategic business objectives. Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned key accounts, building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Develop and implement customer-specific growth strategies aligned with global business objectives.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
  • Monitor market developments, industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and support contract management activities.
  • Coordinate activities across sales, operations, supply chain, quality, engineering, and customer service functions.
  • Analyze account performance and sales metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Drive customer satisfaction through proactive relationship management and problem solving.
  • Provide regular business updates, forecasts, and reports to internal stakeholders.
  • Support strategic projects and initiatives related to the rail market segment.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Key Account Manager or in a comparable customer-facing role, ideally within a technical B2B environment.
  • University degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience managing strategic customer relationships and commercial negotiations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken.

  • Willingness to travel up to 40% of working time.
  • Valid driving license (Class B or equivalent) required.
