Junior System Administrator

We are looking for a Systems Engineer who enjoys working close to the hardware. You will develop, integrate and troubleshoot systems where software meets hardware, mainly in Linux environments. You will work with Bash scripting and C++ development, and help make sure the system runs reliably from the lowest hardware level and up. Qualifications

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a similar field
• at least 2 years of experience as a systems engineer or system administrator
• Strong experience with Linux, including configuration, troubleshooting and system-level work
• Experience programming in C++ and scripting in Bash
• Good understanding of low-level hardware, such as interfaces, drivers and how hardware and software interact.
• Fluent in Swedish and English

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain system functions in Linux environments
• Write and maintain software in C++ and Bash scripts for automation and integration
• Integrate, configure and verify software on target hardware.
• Troubleshoot issues at the boundary between hardware and software.

Meriting

• Experience with embedded Linux (e.g. Yocto, Buildroot) or kernel and driver development.
• Experience with communication interfaces such as Ethernet, CAN, SPI, I2C or UART.
• Experience with Python.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD and build systems
• Experience from defence, automotive or other safety-critical industries.
