Then this could be your next opportunity at COWI. At COWI, we are seeking a Junior Structural Engineer to support our team on major infrastructure projects. You will join a highly skilled group of engineers delivering solutions for bridges, immersed tunnels, underground structures and other complex civil engineering projects. Working alongside experienced specialists, you will contribute to projects that improve how people and societies connect. Turn challenges into sustainable solutions As a Junior Structural Engineer, you will contribute to the design and analysis of complex infrastructure projects from early concept development through detailed design and construction support. You will work closely with colleagues across disciplines and geographies, gaining practical experience and developing your technical skills and engineering judgement. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing structural analysis and design of civil engineering structures
  • Working with FEM and structural analysis tools
  • Preparing calculations, technical documentation and design deliverables
  • Collaborating with structural, geotechnical, BIM and other engineering disciplines
  • Contributing to digital engineering initiatives, including automated workflows and parametric design solutions
  • Participating in technical discussions, reviews and knowledge-sharing activities within the team and structural engineering community

We are looking for a motivated engineer who enjoys solving technical challenges and is eager to develop within a collaborative and international environment. You combine a strong interest in structural engineering with curiosity about new technologies, digital tools, and innovative ways of solving engineering problems. Knowledge of design of bridges, tunnels, underground structures or other complex concrete structures will be highly relevant. On top of that you have:

  • A Master degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 0-5 years of professional experience in structural or civil engineering.
  • Knowledge with finite element modelling (FEM) and structural analysis
  • Knowledge of concrete design principles and relevant design standards such as for instance Eurocode 2
  • Interest or experience in automated workflows and parametric design tools, such as Grasshopper
  • Interest or experience in AI, programming or engineering automation is an advantage
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to organise own work while contributing actively to a team
