Junior Sommelier or Sommelier

The Pairing Room (https://www.thepairingroom.no/) A new and exciting wine bar is opening soon in Oslo, and we are looking for a junior sommelier and/or sommelier to join the team. You will join a close-knit wine team of four, led by a Master Sommelier, where everyone is committed to continuous learning and development. Weekly training sessions and tastings will be held as we strive to become one of the best wine teams in Norway. For the junior sommelier role, a basic understanding of wine is desirable. More importantly, we are looking for someone who is great with guests, and shows humility and a genuine drive to become better. For the sommelier position, we would ideally like candidates to hold a CMS certification and have strong knowledge of the classical wine regions of the world. The position is 37.5 hours per week, spread across five days. Salary for junior sommelier starts at an hourly rate equivalent of €19 plus additional hourly bonuses for weekend and late-evening shifts. Sommelier salary depends on experience and qualifications.
