Junior Designer

We are looking for a Junior Designer to join our design team. In this position, you will work closely with the Design Director and Creative Director to develop seasonal collections and special projects. In this role, you will design high-quality products in line with Livid's aesthetic and standards, taking responsibility for various product categories. You will be involved in the entire design process, from research and inspiration through colour, material selection and sketches to the finished product, collaborating with fabric suppliers, pattern makers and manufacturers. The position is based at our headquarters in Oslo and reports to the Design Director. Some travel may be required. Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to)

• Develop well-considered garments and textiles with tech packs that balance design, quality and cost, based on briefs from design leads
• Meet deadlines without compromising creativity, quality or attention to detail
• Create clear and detailed technical drawings in Illustrator, keeping documentation updated throughout the process
• Prepare complete collection overviews and organise samples
• Work with colour, materials, detailing and washes
• Participate in and organise fittings, provide fit comments and ensure design intent is maintained throughout production
• Contribute to meeting target prices for materials and products

Profile and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or equivalent
• 1–2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a design studio. We also welcome recent graduates who demonstrate clear talent
• Good understanding of garment construction, materials and fit, with an interest in denim
• International and conceptual understanding of fashion, with a strong appreciation for craftsmanship, quality and detail
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a clear understanding of responsibilities
• Creative and solution-oriented, with a structured approach to work
• Strong technical sketching skills
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Illustrator
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Fluency in Norwegian and English, with a good understanding of industry terminology and the ability to present ideas clearly
