Job Summary: We are developing a data-driven analytics solution that enables teams to compare product offerings and pricing across markets. The solution draws on multiple data sources and analytical methods to identify similarities, assess competitiveness, and generate actionable insights that support business planning, decision-making, and continuous improvement. The Junior Data Scientist will support the development and continuous improvement of this solution, applying price elasticity and demand analysis methods to assess the impact of price changes on sales, revenue, and margin. Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. Key Responsibilities: - Data Analysis & Modeling: Analyze product, sales, and market data to develop metrics (such as price elasticity) and build models that proactively monitor price changes, identify competitiveness gaps, and generate actionable business insights. - Collaboration & Implementation: Work cross-functionally with business and tech teams to support country onboarding, validate local data, automate processes, and document findings to ensure smooth implementation and knowledge transfer. Required Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in data science, analytics, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with proactive price monitoring, anomaly detection, alerts, and identifying market or competitor price changes.
  • Ability to work with stakeholders across business, technology, and data teams, and to support country onboarding and local data validation.
  • Knowledge of machine learning and similarity methods for comparing products or market offerings.
  • Strong knowledge of data science, statistics, and econometrics, including price elasticity, demand modelling, price sensitivity, and forecasting.
  • Experience analysing pricing, sales, product, customer, and competitor data.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience in data preparation, modelling, validation, and automation.
  • Understanding of data quality, monitoring, experimentation, and model performance evaluation.
  • Experience with data visualisation and communicating analytical results through dashboards, reports, and presentations.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong cross-functional collaborator — works effectively with stakeholders across business, technology, and data teams.
  • Clear communicator — able to translate analytical findings into dashboards, reports, and presentations for varied audiences.
  • Detail-oriented and thorough — supports country onboarding and local data validation with care and precision.
  • Proactive and solution-focused — identifies market and price issues early and develops indicators and alerts to support timely action.
