Dietary Aide - Full time Job Type Full-time Category Non-Clinical Contract Type Permanent Location Dorminy Medical Center Job Description Responsible for accurately following patient menus on the tray makeup line, serving patient meals, and properly cleaning and sanitizing soiled dishes, pots, and pans. This position is scheduled primarily Sunday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Sunday responsibilities include assisting with frying chicken, filling the serving line, and completing general cleaning duties such as floors, trash removal, and related tasks. The remaining scheduled days include general cleaning, deep cleaning projects on a scheduled rotation, and assisting with the setup and cleanup of catering events. This position will also remain on campus during board dinners to clean up at the end of the evening. Job Requirements Minimal Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. License: None required. Experience: At least six months of public food service experience preferred. Physical / Mental Demands

  • Ability to think and work effectively under stress with frequent interruptions; move, stand, walk, pull, and push frequently during the workday; bend or sit intermittently; lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Must possess sufficient sight and hearing, with or without assistive devices, to meet the requirements of the position.
  • Ability to use mechanical and technical equipment required to perform assigned responsibilities.
  • External and internal applicants who become disabled must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, as determined on a case-by-case basis.
  • This position has no expected exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
