Java Developer (f/m/x)

Sii Sweden is looking for Java Developers to join us on exciting projects with customers across industries, especially within finance, banking, insurance, and other business-critical environments. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend solutions and modern applications based on Java and Spring Boot. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, architects, product owners, and business stakeholders to build reliable, secure, and high-quality software. We are especially interested in candidates with previous experience from the finance industry or other regulated environments, where stability, security, and quality are key. Your tasks

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Build and integrate REST APIs and microservices in modern system landscapes
• Work with databases, SQL, and data-driven backend solutions
• Collaborate with architects, developers, testers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions
• Contribute to technical design, code reviews, best practices, and long-term maintainability
• Support deployment, testing, monitoring, and CI/CD ways of working
• Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with customer requirements
• Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement within the team

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Experience working with REST APIs, microservices, and SQL databases
• Good understanding of software architecture, clean code, and modern development practices
• Experience with Git and working in agile development teams
• Ability to communicate technical solutions clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Structured, proactive way of working with strong ownership and delivery focus
• Fluent Swedish and English

Nice to have

• Background in the finance industry, banking, insurance, or another regulated environment is highly valued
• Previous work with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Prior consulting work
