IRIS² Programme Manager– EU Communication Gateway (Ground Segment)

Description Take on one of Europe’s most visible and complex space infrastructure programmes. In this role, you will lead SSC’s contribution to IRIS² within the EU Communication Gateway Lot, with full accountability for delivery while building and scaling a high-performing programme organisation across ground segment infrastructure, engineering, operations, and industrial partners. This Role Is For You If You

• Have led large, complex aerospace, space, or infrastructure programmes with full end-to-end accountability
• Thrive in building and scaling organisations while delivering under demanding governance and timelines
• Bring experience from ESA, EC, or comparable institutional environments
• Are comfortable operating at executive level with high visibility and stakeholder complexity
• Enjoy navigating ambiguity and driving results across multi-partner industrial ecosystems

Requirements

• Proven experience as Programme Director or Senior Programme Manager delivering large-scale programmes with full accountability
• Extensive experience within ESA and/or ECSS environments
• Strong track record in building programme organisations
• Experience from prime contractor or system integrator environments
• Experience in satellite communications, ground segment or related infrastructure
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
