Investor Relations Manager

About the job: We're raising our €50M Fund II and hiring an Investor Relations Manager to run investor relations and help lead the fundraise. This is a role for someone who earns trust quickly, enjoys being in the room with investors, and wants real responsibility from day one. Role: Investor Relations Manager Location: Copenhagen, Denmark (HQ) Start: 1 December 2026 or 1 January 2027 Commitment: Full-time About BlackWood Ventures: BlackWood Ventures is a Copenhagen-based, pan-European venture capital fund investing at pre-seed and seed in Fintech and Frontier Tech. Since we launched in 2023, we've built one of Europe's most active early-stage platforms. We've backed 25+ companies across 10 countries, and our own sourcing engine screens more than 500 startups every month. Our network includes 1,200+ angel investors and 100+ universities, incubators, and accelerators across 15 countries. Fund I was a record close for a first-time fund in its category, and the portfolio is already showing strong early traction. Now we're raising a €50M Fund II and doubling down on what we believe: Europe is entering a defining decade, and the most ambitious founders will be built here. Your Role: You'll run investor relations and the Fund II raise, reporting directly to Bastian Larsen (Founder & CEO) and working closely with Oliver Preisler (COO). Key responsibilities include:

• Fundraising: Lead the Fund II fundraising process alongside CEO, from identifying and contacting potential investors to closing commitments.
• LP Relations: Be a point of contact for our LPs, keep them close and informed, and write our LP updates.
• Reporting: Support Oliver on quarterly reporting to our investors.
• Events: Plan and run LP events, from small lunches to our annual Summit.
• Building BlackWood: We're still early and nimble, so there's a lot of room to shape how the fund works. If you have ideas, we want you to build them with us.

You Bring:

• 3–5 years of experience in investor relations or fundraising at a fund, or in private banking or wealth management working with HNWIs and FOs
• A genuine interest in venture capital and early-stage companies
• The highest standards of professionalism with investors and other stakeholders
• The ability to perform under pressure and close commitments against tight deadlines
• A broad network among HNWIs, family offices or institutional investors is a plus
• A strong work ethic and sense of ownership, while staying humble
• Fluent Danish and English, written and spoken
