Investment Banking Analyst / Associate

We are looking for an experienced Analyst or Associate to join our Investment Banking team in Stockholm, working on M&A and debt advisory mandates across the Nordic energy and infrastructure sector About ICECAPITAL ICECAPITAL is an independent investment banking and asset management group, established in 1999 with offices in Helsinki and Stockholm. We advise on mergers and acquisitions, divestments, debt financing, capital market transactions and shareholder value enhancement. Within energy and infrastructure we are one of the leading advisors in the Nordics, acting for industrial owners, municipalities, infrastructure funds and international institutional investors on many of the region's largest transactions and refinancings. The role As an Analyst or Associate you will take a central role in executing complex transactions across the energy, renewables and infrastructure sectors. You will work alongside senior bankers and directly with clients, investors and lenders across the full life of a mandate – from early analysis and positioning through diligence, negotiation and closing. Your responsibilities will include: ▪ Owning integrated financial models, valuation and returns analyses, and taking responsibility for their accuracy and integrity ▪ Leading defined workstreams on M&A and debt advisory mandates, coordinating internal and external parties ▪ Preparing and structuring pitch material, information memoranda, lender and rating agency presentations, and board material ▪ Running due diligence processes together with clients, legal advisors, banks and other counterparties ▪ Engaging directly with clients, investors and institutional lenders throughout execution ▪ Following the Nordic energy and infrastructure market and contributing to origination and idea generation ▪ Supporting the development of more junior colleagues, and helping to raise the quality standard of the team's work What we are looking for ▪ 2–5 years of relevant experience from investment banking, corporate finance, transaction services, private equity, infrastructure funds, corporate banking or strategy consulting ▪ A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering or another relevant field ▪ A solid command of accounting, corporate finance, valuation and financial modelling, evidenced on live transactions ▪ Strong analytical and quantitative skills, a structured problem-solving approach and a high standard for accuracy ▪ Confident written and verbal communication, and the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues ▪ The ability to manage several workstreams in parallel and deliver reliably under time pressure ▪ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint ▪ Fluency in English; Swedish or Norwegian is an advantage ▪ A genuine interest in the energy, renewables and infrastructure sectors ▪ Prior exposure to energy or infrastructure is an advantage but not a requirement What we offer ▪ Direct exposure to complex, high-profile Nordic and international M&A and debt advisory transactions ▪ Real responsibility and client contact from the start, with scope set by capability rather than tenure ▪ Structured mentorship and senior sponsorship – you will work closely with senior bankers who take an active interest in your development ▪ A collaborative, entrepreneurial environment in a team small enough that good ideas are heard wherever they come from ▪ A clear path for long-term career development within an independent firm How to apply Please submit your CV, academic transcript and a short cover letter to careers@icecapital.se.
