Internship in financial management & growth operations

Location: Copenhagen (On-site / Hybrid) Duration: 3-month unpaid internship with a direct transition to a part-time or full-time position upon completion Start Date: ASAP Are you ready to take on significant financial and operational responsibility at one of Denmark’s most exciting, fast-growing AI fintech SaaS platforms? At Tapp, we have developed a groundbreaking operating system for the restaurant industry. We are currently scaling across Germany and will soon launch in the UK as well. We are looking for a sharp, AI-driven financial talent to join our team, take ownership of our day-to-day finances and help drive our global financial strategy and legal compliance. The role & responsibilities As our Financial Management intern, you will work directly alongside the executive team. You’ll gain hands-on experience across both day-to-day financial operations and high-level strategic planning for our UK and German entities. Key responsibilities include:

• Day-to-day financial management: Bookkeeping oversight, invoicing, accounts payable/receivable and payroll management.
• Reporting & annual returns: Preparing financial statements, annual returns, and financial reporting for Tapp ApS and Usetapp Ltd and other future local legal entities.
• Financial modeling & forecasting: Building and maintaining financial models, cash flow forecasting, budget optimization and scenario planning. Assisting in capital rounds.
• Pricing & unit economics optimization: Data-driven pricing strategy optimization for our SaaS platform and continuous unit economics improvement.
• Grants & soft funding: Researching, drafting, and managing applications for non-dilutive grants and government funding schemes.
• Expansion & German market: Legal setup, structuring, compliance, and ongoing administration for Tapp GmbH.
• Legal & compliance: Drafting and managing contracts, corporate governance, legal paperwork and GDPR compliance.
• Partner outreach: Researching and conducting outreach to strategic and financial partners including selected investors across Europe.

Who You Are We are looking for an ambitious candidate with strong analytical skills and a modern, high-efficiency workflow:

• Expertise with AI tools (must-have): Extensive, professional experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, advanced prompting and workflows) to automate processes and solve complex problems.
• Strong financial & legal understanding: A relevant academic background in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration (e.g., Master’s or Bachelor’s degree).
• Coding knowledge / tech skills (plus): Experience with basic code and automation tools is a strong plus.

• Languages: Professional fluency in English (Danish and/or German is a plus).
