Cook – North Indian and Oriental Cuisine

Location: Joutsa, Finland Employment Type: Full-time, permanent employment

We are seeking an experienced, reliable and motivated cook to join our team in Joutsa. The position is full-time and permanent, and is intended for a candidate who is genuinely interested in long-term employment.

The successful applicant must have strong practical experience in traditional North Indian cuisine, particularly in the preparation of curry and tandoor dishes. Experience in Oriental and other Asian cuisines is also required.

The selected candidate must be willing to relocate to and settle in Joutsa.

Main Responsibilities

• Preparing authentic North Indian curry and tandoor dishes

• Preparing a variety of Oriental and Asian dishes

• Carrying out daily food preparation and ingredient-handling duties

• Ensuring consistent food quality, taste, presentation and portion control

• Following food safety, hygiene and workplace safety regulations

• Maintaining cleanliness and order in the kitchen

• Performing dishwashing, equipment cleaning and general kitchen cleaning duties

• Working independently and efficiently when required

• Cooperating professionally and calmly with other members of the team

• Performing other duties related to the daily operation of the kitchen

Requirements

• Proven experience in traditional North Indian cooking

• Strong knowledge of curry and tandoor food preparation

• Experience in Oriental or Asian cuisine

• A valid Finnish Hygiene Passport

• Basic knowledge of the Finnish language

• Ability to read and understand basic workplace instructions, safety guidelines and cleaning instructions in Finnish

• Good communication skills in Hindi or English

• Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure

• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for assigned duties

• A polite, respectful and cooperative attitude

• Good teamwork and communication skills

• Willingness to participate in all kitchen hygiene, cleaning and maintenance duties

• Willingness to relocate to and settle in Joutsa

• Genuine commitment to long-term employment
