IAM Engineer

IAM Engineer – Contract – Netherlands / Sweden Pharma Experience The role We are looking for an experienced IAM Engineer to support a pharmaceutical customer in the Netherlands with the management and further development of its Identity & Access Management environment. You will help establish and improve security best practices around identities, access and permissions, with a strong focus on RBAC, least-privilege access and secure identity lifecycle management. Previous experience working within the pharmaceutical sector in Sweden is beneficial. Responsibilities

• Manage and improve IAM processes, platforms and access controls.
• Design and implement Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and least-privilege principles.
• Manage identity lifecycle processes including joiner, mover and leaver activities.
• Support authentication, authorization and access provisioning.
• Review and improve access rights, roles and permissions.
• Implement IAM security best practices and support access governance.
• Automate IAM processes where possible.
• Support access reviews, audits and compliance requirements.
• Troubleshoot IAM-related incidents and access issues.
• Work with security, infrastructure and business teams to improve identity security.

Skills

• Proven experience as an IAM Engineer, Identity Engineer or Security Engineer.
• Previous pharmaceutical industry experience in Sweden is beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of IAM, RBAC, authentication and authorization.
• Experience with identity lifecycle management, access provisioning and access reviews.
• Strong understanding of least privilege, access governance and security best practices.
• Experience with Active Directory, Entra ID/Azure AD and enterprise identity environments.
• Knowledge of SSO, MFA, SAML, OAuth/OIDC and LDAP.
• Experience with IAM automation and scripting, preferably PowerShell or Python.
• Experience working in regulated environments with strong security and compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English
