What you'll do

HR Manager – Growth & Development Gothenburg | Full-time 100% Onsite| Interim with potential to become permanent The opportunity We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to join an international organisation in Gothenburg. The organisation is looking to strengthen its HR capability and continue developing effective people processes and ways of working. We are therefore looking for a hands-on HR professional who can work closely with managers and employees and take ownership of a broad HR agenda. This is an opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys being close to the business, building strong relationships and turning HR needs into practical solutions. The initial engagement will be on an interim basis, with the potential for the role to transition into a permanent position. The role As HR Manager, you will have broad responsibility across the employee lifecycle and work closely with management and employees across the organisation. You will combine day-to-day HR support with the development and implementation of effective HR processes and ways of working. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a trusted HR partner to managers and employees
  • Providing advice and support on Swedish employment law and HR matters
  • Managing employee relations and day-to-day HR issues
  • Developing and maintaining employment contracts, policies and HR documentation
  • Supporting recruitment and onboarding
  • Supporting employee development and performance management
  • Establishing and improving HR processes, routines and ways of working
  • Coordinating annual HR activities, including compensation and benefits
  • Supporting organisational development and change initiatives
  • Ensuring HR administration is structured, accurate and compliant
  • Contributing to a positive and professional employee experience
  • Supporting managers in developing effective leadership and people practices

About you You are an experienced and pragmatic HR professional who is comfortable operating independently and working directly with managers and employees. You are likely to have:

  • Several years of broad HR experience
  • Strong knowledge of Swedish employment law
  • Experience advising managers and leadership teams
  • Solid experience across employee relations, contracts, policies and HR processes
  • Experience working in an organisation undergoing change or development
  • A practical and solution-oriented approach
  • The ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Professional fluency in Swedish and English
  • Experience working in an international environment

Experience working in an environment where you have had broad HR responsibility and a high degree of independence would be particularly relevant. What will make you successful? You are someone who takes ownership. You are comfortable identifying what needs to be improved, prioritising the most important issues and then putting practical solutions in place. You can move easily between strategic discussions with management and practical HR matters with employees. You don't need everything to be perfectly structured before you start. You bring structure, clarity and momentum while remaining pragmatic and focused on what the business actually needs. You are also comfortable challenging existing ways of working when there is a better or more effective approach. Why this opportunity? This is an opportunity to make a tangible contribution to how HR operates within an organisation. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Work closely with management
  • Take ownership of a broad HR agenda
  • Improve and develop HR processes
  • Influence ways of working
  • Support managers and employees directly
  • Contribute to organisational development
  • See the direct impact of your work

The role offers a strong balance between hands-on HR delivery and longer-term people and organisational development. The assignment Location: Gothenburg Scope: Full-time Assignment type: Interim / Consulting Potential: Opportunity to transition into a permanent position Start: As soon as possible If you are an experienced HR professional looking for an opportunity where you can take ownership, improve how HR works and make a visible contribution to the organisation, we would like to hear from you.
